Mr. Long initiated his path in the power field in 1951 alongside a colleague. That business was first named Plowman & Long Electric. In 1963, Kenneth bought the associate's stake and renamed it to Long Electric Co.. Later, a business entity was established with Mr. Long as the only owner. From that point forward, Long Electric Co. has executed electrical work on commercial complexes, medical facilities, academies, religious buildings, factories, community hubs, arenas, judicial centers, various residences, and numerous other jobs. Throughout this duration, Long Electric Co. has never been unable to finish a one project or overlook a bill. At present, Long Electric Co. is Abilene's family-operated wiring company free from any financial obligations or third-party financial reliance. Our company has been operated by the same family for more than 67 years. Owner Kenneth O. Long skillfully operated the business until his death. Since 2009, Fred Armbruster has maintained the tradition. Today, Long Electric is Abilene's power service provider free from any liabilities or third-party financial dependency.

The year 1976, Fred joined the firm after overseeing at Aileen's until its closing. He started as a stock assistant and worked his way up in the business until working alongside Ken Long as the second-in-command. He is currently the President of the business.
