By the year 1963, Mr. Long acquired the partner's stake and changed the the business as Long Electric Co.. Eventually, a corporation was established with Ken as the exclusive owner. Long Electric has been family-owned for over six decades. Founder Kenneth O. Long skillfully led the company until his passing. Since 2009, Son-in-Law has continued the tradition. At present, Long Electric is the most established wiring company lacking any debt or third-party funding needs.

In 1976, Fred joined the firm after running at Aileen's until it ceased operations. He started as a stock assistant and advanced in the business until working alongside Ken Long as the second-in-command. He is currently the President of the business.
