Amazing customer service! John is awesome! Called 10 different lighting stores in San Diego. These guys had what we needed, ordered what they didn't have in stock and got it here fast! Save yourself the time and only go here for any of your lighting needs!

What a remarkable experience I had yesterday as a first time customer to Lighting Solutions. We drove down from Poway desperately searching for an adapter for a ceiling fan/light fixture. After driving around unable to locate the store, and it was getting close to their closing time, I called to find out what other businesses they were near. Not only did the lady I spoke with guide me to the store, SHE STOOD OUTSIDE WATCHING FOR US SO WE'D KNOW WHERE TO TURN! UNHEARD OF SERVICE!
They ordered my part and have made a lifelong customer that HIGHLY recommends this business!

Love the guys at Light Bulbs unlimited. After dealing with completely unhelpful people at a competitor store, I made my way here. This is definitely where I should have started in the first place! They are extremely helpful & personable. They made the whole process easy & stress free, and I really couldn't be more thankful. It is rare to find customer service at a retail store that really makes an impact on me, but they definitely have their acts together and deserve to have that recognized. Thanks LBU!

I was having a hard time finding a bulb for my reverse osmosis water system. I called, spoke to John, who was very, very helpful and courteous. I got to the store, carrying my old bulb which had no part numbers, but John and another gentleman at the store, found a bulb that although wasn't exactly the same, will serve as a working replacement. Rather than looking at the old bulb and saying without part numbers they couldn't help me, they really were concerned that I get a replacement bulb and did all they could to help me. Great service.

Great service: fast, efficient and friendly!
We had one bulb of four in our chandelier go out. It is a small halogen bulb and it was difficult to read the information about the bulb that was imprinted on it, other than it might be a Feit. We took it with us to find replacements.
When we entered the store the gentleman behind the counter was quick to greet us and come to assist us. When we showed him our bulb he knew immediately what it was and informed us that he had some in stock.
I asked him what they cost and he quoted an estimate, however when he checked the price it was actually $2.00 more than the quote. He instantly offered to split the difference so we ended up getting $1.00 off each bulb. It wasn't necessary, but we now know a good, honest place to go for our lighting needs.
Amazon does sell the bulbs too, at the same full price he has, so we know he did very courteously give us a deal.

These are some of the most knowledgeable folks in the business, the recent upgrades to the store make it one of the best places in san diego to shop and get actual advice for your project. Every time I come here, there are licensed electrician's asking THEM the best way to install lights for their clients. Shop around if you want to, but their prices are beyond fair for the superior long lasting quality of products.

Terrible warranty support. We bought eight $100 LED bulbs, plus housings, etc., that were supposed to last 20 years. We had a problem with one lamp about 4 years in (it flickered) and we were definitely still within the warranty period. Getting LBU to return phone calls and honor the warranty was worse than pulling teeth. We eventually got the bulb replaced, but it took multiple phone calls and multiple trips (4, to be exact...and we live more than 30 miles away). And the replacement lamp doesn't begin to match the color temperature (much warmer), lumens, or style (the old lamp -- and the other 7 lamps in the room -- were bright aluminum with eight led chips. The ""replacement"" lamp is white with a single led chip.
The first time we had a problem, customer service went out the window. We'll never work with these guys again.

ok these guys are not only friendly they are actually very helpfulllllll!!!!! The competition light bulb store off of morena (i wont say who) was very rude over the phone. The lady who spoke to me sure acted like she could care less if I was a customer. Screw that! John on the other hand was great! I haven't gone to the store yet. I just got off the phone with him but I felt the need to leave him a review due to his outstanding customer service. CHEERS JOHN!!!!! I will leave another review when I get home from the store. :)

Awesome customer service! First time I've heard of the place, but I would come back even though I live in Escondido just for Julian. Great guy!

Just installed five new LED track bulbs over my kitchen table. Main impetus was that I'm spending 1-3 hours studying for a professional exam for which the original Halogens were frying me. I've also noted dinner guests sweating a bit under my 5-bulb table fixture.
The nice gents attending me today explained the halogens I was eliminating produce about 800 degrees temp (vs. the 100 I'd have with the bulb he had right on the front rack by the counter). I bought five which installed flawlessly per my fixture specs.,
And they did mention two things (w/out my asking) that other Yelpers have hated about: (1) bulbs can be returned in UNdamaged original packages; and (2) He registered my name and address for warranty service / guarantee replacements.
Sure, I saw the $4.99 ""equivalent LED"" bulbs on Amazon.....but I also read too many customer reviews about very short burn-out lives, bulb fell apart, etc. So, for the present as I sit under the MUCH whiter hue and cooler temps of these LED replacements I'm very content.
