ok these guys are not only friendly they are actually very helpfulllllll!!!!! The competition light bulb store off of morena (i wont say who) was very rude over the phone. The lady who spoke to me sure acted like she could care less if I was a customer. Screw that! John on the other hand was great! I haven't gone to the store yet. I just got off the phone with him but I felt the need to leave him a review due to his outstanding customer service. CHEERS JOHN!!!!! I will leave another review when I get home from the store. :)

Just installed five new LED track bulbs over my kitchen table. Main impetus was that I'm spending 1-3 hours studying for a professional exam for which the original Halogens were frying me. I've also noted dinner guests sweating a bit under my 5-bulb table fixture.
The nice gents attending me today explained the halogens I was eliminating produce about 800 degrees temp (vs. the 100 I'd have with the bulb he had right on the front rack by the counter). I bought five which installed flawlessly per my fixture specs.,
And they did mention two things (w/out my asking) that other Yelpers have hated about: (1) bulbs can be returned in UNdamaged original packages; and (2) He registered my name and address for warranty service / guarantee replacements.

Sure, I saw the $4.99 ""equivalent LED"" bulbs on Amazon.....but I also read too many customer reviews about very short burn-out lives, bulb fell apart, etc. So, for the present as I sit under the MUCH whiter hue and cooler temps of these LED replacements I'm very content.

I was telling a friend who happens to be a handyman that I was going to be buying over 30 LED lightbulbs at Home Depot at $17 each (online in a 4 pack). He told me to come here first. Upon entering this small place there were two people working there (they were probably the owners). There were 3 customers (including me) in the store and they did not say hello upon my entering - mistake #1.

They eventually asked what I wanted and they just pointed to a small shelf that looked to have less selection then a CVS - mistake #2.

The cost for 1 bulb was $39! Are you kidding me (Home Depot was $19 for an individual bulb) - mistake #3.

I then decided to see what else they had in the store because I also needed a few light fixtures (sconces and chandelier). I noticed the two store workers just stare at me as they sat behind their desk and not once did they ask what else I needed and if they could be of any assistance. As I walked out (I was the only customer in the store) they did not say goodbye or anything for that matter - mistake #4.

Had they been polite I may have bought my light fixtures here and the led bulbs online. I guess these owners have a trust fund and don't need to make any sales. Service at Home Depot on sports arena is far superior. This is a perfect example why big box retailers and online sales are soaring and small independent stores are failing.

Moral of my story to any small business owner: if you are going to charge more then your competitors then you better provide amazing customer service. If you sit like a lump on a log at your store then you will be shuttering your doors in the near future.

When I need a special light bulb this is where I go. The staff is knowledgable and nice and they have a great selection. My only complaint is that I've had to wait too long and the prices are on the high side. But if you need a specialtly lightbulb this is the place.

Fair price. Helpful gentleman. I needed help with a vintage chandelier and the gentleman behind the counter totally went above and beyond to help me. I would shop here again.

Unfortunately if you're looking for affordable LED lighting solutions this is not the place to go locally. We understand competing with bigger box stores might be tough but when you guys are charging $37 for an LED light blub that you can get at IKEA for $7 (or online) it makes it tough to support such an extreme mark up.

What a great find! I have been searching for the undercabinet lighting for my kitchen. I went to Lowes, Home Depot, searched on line etc... The problem was solved as soon as I walked in to LBU. Julian, the owner, was beyond knowledgeable and competent. He was helpful and entertaining and caring. I feel very inspired that such personal service still exist!!! 5 stars to this place!

They carry 27 Watt light bulbs, that's we were on a scavenger hunt looking for and many places directed us here, the lamp are for is in the bedroom, is iconic & beautiful, but if you need bulbs to replace them, this is the only place we found 27 watt bulbs specifically for that lamp.

We called them and asked, they said the had them, we arrived, and it was a line up of 6 Jewish guys that were like doing stand up behind the counter.

See, being Castilian & Jewish, I started it (so Marty says...okay I did!) with my Yiddish humor mixed with Spanish undertones.

We had so much fun in this place, who knew purchasing a light bulb that is difficult to find could be so much fun.

They have some really cool fixtures at this store too; organized & professional, this place has it all.

Now, it is a little tricky finding this place but, using you navigation devices will solve that problem.

I have never been to a place that met every need for appliances that bring light to rooms and, ambiance lighting fixtures & appliances along with stand up comedy.

You just gotta go just to ask questions, you will end up buying something, that chandelier I bought was a must have, Marty's face is still frozen in OY VEY mode!

I like it, and the chandelier goes in my place & decorum-who knew, such a deal & more was right here in SD on the other side of the shacks, right next to:

I'm a designer and I've been doing business with LBU for years. I've always felt well taken care of and they've been great about answering all of my questions, however I recently learned that they have been marking up the light bulbs I was ordering for a client $20 each (that's $20 more than they are online!) ! I think that's ridiculous! I have emailed and left messages for my sales person and he refuses to call me back. Now I will refuse to do business with him and LBU...and I will gladly take all of my clients with me.
