Lex Air Conditioning and Heating was established in 2003, but our family has been delivering expert comfort system repairs and exceptional customer service in the Dallas/Fort Worth area since the 1980s. We aim to continue this legacy of quality service for years to come.
Cory and his brother Anthony manage Lex Air Conditioning and Heating. They have been immersed in the air conditioning field for nearly their entire lives, spending summer breaks as children working alongside their father and saving to buy new school clothes. They entered the air conditioning workforce full-time by age 18, now boasting 30 years of combined expertise. The DFW metroplex has evolved significantly since then, as has the air conditioning industry. However, some things remain constant, like the hot summers in Dallas. Our A/C unit had completed died after 20 years in this home. We called around for service and, understandably in the TX heat, were told by everyone that they couldn't get to us til the following day. Amazing, Anthony showed up at our house within 1.5 hrs of calling him. He gave us a quote and was able to install the next day. After receiving other OTP quotes, Anthony was the best price for the quality unit that was going to be installed. The very next day, his crew was here at 7:30 am and on a 100-degree day installed the unit within a few hours and was up and running. It was so nice to have an energy efficient unit in our home again and stellar service from LexAir.

Of course the A/C goes out when it gets hot. I called Cory late in the afternoon and he was at my place by 6:30. Had a look , diagnosed and Anthony was out the next afternoon with the new part and coolant charge.

Lex Air- If any of you are considering replacing your air conditioning/heating system I would suggest that you contact Anthony Contreras with Lex Air. He can be reached by calling (972) 466-1917. Lex Air just replaced our three (3) 15+ year old systems. They did a phenomenal job and their pricing was extremely competitive. The installers were very neat. All of our interior carpeting and furnishings were well protected. Replacing all three old systems and installing the new systems was a major project and they did a great job. I highly recommend Anthony and Lex Air.

We recently changed our annual HVAC service contract from a very large local company to Lex AC because they are a small family business and hire the top technicians in the business. So far, we have experienced the fall/winter and spring/summer inspections. In both cases, the technicians arrived on-time and provided excellent service. In our most recent spring/summer service, they found that our coil rusty and we were leaking freon. They outlined our options including changing the coil only or changing out the entire system and moving away from the old R22 freon that is no longer being produced to the newest freon that is more reasonable (and available). We discussed it after the technician's visit and our decision was made easier after receiving a phone call from the owner of the company that evening. We opted to go with the new system and installation was scheduled for the next week. Two skilled technicians arrived on-time around 8:30 a.m. And worked steadily all day with only a lunch break until completion and clean-up twelve hours later. They carefully tied back our pretty shrubbery to protect them while moving out the old compressor and moving in a new slab and the new compressor. A new high-tech thermostat was installed that allows us to adjust our settings wirelessly via our home computer and cell phones--it's terrific! They cleaned up inside and out after completion of the job. The owner came the following day to check all of their work, check the freon in the compressor and walked us through setting up the thermostat. We are very happy with our decision to engage Lex Air and change out our system and look forward to working with this company in the future to maximize our HVAC systems safely for our family. One of our A/C units went out and we're somewhat new to town so wasn't sure who to call. I found Lex Air through a google search and decided to give them a try. They were crazy fast, very professional, reasonably priced, and ultimately fixed my issue in a small amount of time. Anthony took great care of us and I'd recommend him to anyone facing a similar issue.

So as it started to get cooler in Dallas we turn on the heat in the house and noticed that it wasn't working properly because it was still cold...upon a quick Google search we found Lex air conditioning services and gave them a shot, unfortunately Our heating never got fixed they recommend everyone to change their furnace. Anthony even said that our pipes were too ""narrow"". They charged me close to $700 to replace the combustion motor and high limit switch. I called another guy today and he quickly fixed what was wrong without recommending me to change my furnace.
Beware these people just want your money. Go to someone else. I would give them no star if i could. They're frauds. Not to mention when Anthony asked if I had a ladder I showed him where it was in the garage and he didn't even bother putting it back. Poor ettiquettes. I am convinced that they gave themselves a high rating.

I am so glad you mentioned the BBB report, the fine Yelp readers can read about how un professional, rude, and defensive you really are. You needn't worry about my name, this is a true genuine, horrible, review of a horrible experience. I bet it is not that you have so few complaints, I bet you have so few customers. The ""scratch"" was way more than a scratch, let's call it a huge dent with many scratches, and you lied about repairing it. The only way I was able to get you to repair it was to hold your payment hostage. Let's just pretend it was a scratch as you claim, who cares? You did it and you should have fixed it. You should be embarrassed of yourself but I am sure you are not. I could go on and on about the bad experience. Let me be a bit clearer of the lie with the ""scratch"" - this is only one of the horrible experiences. As soon as I saw the damage I alerted Anthony - the system was not even hooked up yet so I could have, should have refused it all and wished you all well, but Anthony assured, assured me he could get the part in and replace it. Well a month went by, I called and emailed, and nothing, NO correspondence at all from you, so I disputed the credit card charge. It took 6 months, 6 months for you to realize I was not going to let this go. I was not going to pay 9k and look out my window at a huge dent and scratches. So Anthony of course lied, he said to me - well I ordered it but when you disputed the charge, I cancelled the order! What? That does not even make sense. If you ""ordered"" it and I was disputing ordering it why would you not say "" Hey the part is ordered its in - yay"" and we all move on with our lives. NO he lied, and finally after 6 months I got the part replaced.
That fellow yelpers is what happened. And again, this was only one of many issues with Anthony and Cory and Lex AC. You keep mentioning that the ""scratch"" did not affect functioning - I say again who cares? I bet everyone reading has fixed a door ding on their cars in spite of that door ding NOT affecting the functioning of the car. I bought a car a few years ago, there was a door ding on the car but the salesman said the dealership would repair it. Guess what? a week later I brought the car in, in 2 hours you could never tell there was a door ding. Amazing, and this was a car dealership. So car salesmen are now more trustworthy than you. And besides, how would YOU know that the ""scratch"" did not affect functioning? Neither you nor Anthony ever came back to inspect anything - do YOU know how the ""scratch"" got there? Because I was never told. Was the unit dropped? However it got there, could cause a problem in the future. Guess I will find out. *** Update to the BBB, I just read Lex's final response on the BBB, trust me, it is a bad piece of fiction. The last sentence - reduced price? complete fiction. They offered NO reduced price. Please, I am paying for the unit all full price, they got their funding, finally after 7 months because they were forced to make the repair. Oh and I find it amusing how Anthony and Cory bragged on BBB about how the Credit card company saw their way and went in their favor The dispute was still active and open, but I did receive notice that the credit card company went in my favor. I knew I would be paying for the unit, but I did get a laugh out of that. *** What I am not laughing about is how I had to do all of this in the first place. Just a recap of what the OWNER of Lex is telling you - ""we may mess up, but we expect you, the customer to accept and deal with it yourself. We will not hold ourselves accountable for anything, but we will work hard to defend ourselves and make our problem look like your problem. And if you just do not get in line you will have to fight us."" I recap that by saying I found another reputable AC company, and you can too. There are so many reputable choices.

Our AC went out on a Wednesday afternoon. I called Lex Air at about 4:30, and Anthony arrived around 30 minutes later. He looked at our system and gave us some options. We decided to go with a full system replacement. What made it a little more difficult is that a new unit wouldn't fit where our current one was. (Thanks to the builders from the 80's putting the AC on a small patch of grass between the house and driveway.) He then scheduled an electrician to move everything to the other side of the house as well.
On installation day, his crew was fantastic. Arriving EARLY, (after they called to make sure it was okay to do so), putting down plastic in the house, very friendly, and hard working. When they finished, Anthony arrived about 30 minutes later to inspect their work and made sure that I had a handle on the new digital thermostat (that links to an app on my iphone, how cool!).
One thing that I really liked was the fact that all communication that I had with the company after the first dispatch call was with Anthony(a Co-Owner). I had to talk to 3 other people at another big company in town just to tell them we weren't going with them! Overall I was very impressed with the service I received, and I know that they will take care of our needs in the future! Highly Recommend!

I used Lex AC based mostly on comments found here. My upstairs unit went out and the Tech found and replaced a bad capacitor. While here, he told me my coils were clogged (they had sucked up grass clippings from the yard) and would need a special ""chemical cleaning"". He advised my warranties would be in jeopardy if I didn't agree to the service. Cost for this service, $150--per unit. The tech literally sprayed something out of a garden pump sprayer, then hosed it off. That's it. No tear down, no scrubbing, nothing. That'll be $300 please.
I called Lex AC and got Anthony on the phone (one of the owners). I advised him I thought $300 was excessive considering how little labor was involved (search ""clean HVAC coils""). The Tech was already here (service call charge of $80) and the units were right next to each other. He agreed the Tech should have ""given me a break"" on the price, but the service was necessary.
I rated them low based on their excessive pricing and quoting ""warranty issues"" to obtain permission to do the work.

This is the BEST A/C company we have ever used! In the heat of summer, they were able to come and repair our upstairs A/C the same day that I called them. That is impressive, considering other companies had given me time estimates of 3 days to 2 weeks for a simple assessment of our unit. Lex A/C was so busy that the owner came out and replaced our A/C motor fan himself! That is customer service at its finest. He knew exactly what the problem was, and he was a very nice gentleman as well. He worked within our budget as well, which was another plus. I highly recommend him to anyone. You will not be disappointed!
