We read the company reviews on Kama'aina Handyman on Yelp prior to calling for a quote. All true and deserving of the five star rating.

What convinced us to add Kama'aina Handyman to our Go-To List is their total approach to a project. We asked that they repair damage to the wainscot and baseboard in our bathroom. They not only replaced both, they also replaced the quarter round and stained it to match the wood flooring. The paint was an almost perfect match (interior paint is 16 years old) and blended so well, if you didn't know where the damage was, you wouldn't know it had been replaced. The same to the hole in the wall on our stairway landing.

What was there not to like! Thank you for the superb workmanship.

Kamaaina Handyman is a great company that I'm very happy I contacted. They are prompt, professional and do many types of work. Jindy, Joe and Brad all were courteous and friendly. They arrived on time and did exactly what I expected in a short amount of time. I plan to use them for more work around my house and was very impressed with their quality of work. I would highly recommend them for anyone looking for work around your home.

A few years ago, a friend incorrectly installed an air conditioner in my Condo bedroom that recently (a month ago) resulted in a visible water leak on my bedroom carpet. Prior to the pandemic, I was only living part time in Honolulu and intermittently running my AC. Since March 3rd of 2020, I have been home here and running my AC daily, thus water running out of the air conditioner. Pulling back the carpet, the carpet pad was soaked. Diagnosing the problem and ruling out that it was not a plumbing problem was a huge issue that will be another Yelp review. Long story short, despite having another Contractor/Handyman install a new AC for me, it proved unacceptable. Being a Yelper, I of course looked to Yelp for recommendations/reviews. I was unsuccessful in having an AC company assist me with a better air conditioner. Friends offered to help installing a new AC, lesson learned, so my next step was looking at handyman services. Yelp reviews were stellar for Kama'aina Handyman and what I liked was their positive response to any negative reviews. Gindi and Joseph of Kama'aina Handyman were both accommodating and professional. They were able to get a new air conditioner installed within a week of my contacting them. When you aren't a handyman yourself, you really have to put your trust in who you hire, to do a good job and provide quality work at fair prices. Kama'aina Handyman fits the bill. I recommend using them.

Fair prices and great people. They come in and fix it right away, I can see why they're so popular. I needed them to come back and amend something on my dishwasher and they didn't hesitate to come and fix it. Really nice staff and they were safe wearing masks. Thank you!

We hired this company to put up our mailbox post after the old one fell down. Although we probably could have done the work ourselves, it saved my husband and I a lot of time and arguing! I believe it was Jovan and another employee who came on a Sunday to complete the project. Although there was some miscommunication about the supplies (I had texted the company that I wanted a metal post and white mailbox, but that wasn't communicated to the employees that came), it all turned out nicely. They dug a perfectly shaped square hole, did the cement, and placed the new post and our original mailbox. It cost us about $175, which for many might seem high for a job we could have done ourselves, but for me, I'm good with it because I didn't have to do anything or go anywhere to get the job completed. Worthwhile in my opinion!!

As a realtor, I have crossed the paths of many Handymen. Some that I would not call again. I can honestly say, I would use ""Kama'aina Handyman"" repeatedly. We used them for sliding glass doors & locks, these can be very finicky. Just a hair off ruins the alignment. They came in and took care of the problem in a few hours. Gindi, Joe and Jovan were a great team. They work well together. They were prompt & efficient, you can reach them at 808-393-1163.

Joseph did an awesome job!!!!

I tried to replace my jalousie window operator by myself but ended up breaking the window pane holder (rivets flew off) while attempting to remove a really rusted screw.

Joseph fixed what I broke and replaced the operator. While he was there, he provided great tips on maintaining these windows since I'm in an older condo complex. I appreciated that he wore a mask throughout the whole job. He shared that the company provides services island-wide and they on-site free estimates.

Definitely recommend them. A+

I was very happy with Kama'aina Handyman. They came in to install a ceiling fan & light where there was no previous one in my mother's home. They were efficient, friendly and timely. They followed instructions and worked directly with me not being there, especially being sensitive to my mother's needs. All finances were worked out by me and they were asked not to discuss money with my mother. They did exactly that. Great job!
