James just saved me $200. I called to get a quote for an issue with what I assumed was a faulty circuit breaker. Another electrician I called told me I'd be charged over $200 just for a visit, but James walked me through a simple test over the phone that revealed it wasn't the breaker after all. And he told me how to fix it, free of charge!

James and Josh saved the day!
Our old gravity furnace wire was ""accidentally"" disconnected by a ""heater expert"". James and Josh came by as soon as they could: we have a baby in the apartment in the chilly Richmond district. We went through several scenarios and possibilities and finally landed on a solution without taking the 100 yr Edwardian flats apart. After 3 hours, they wired up the place, and we got the heat back! Both of them were awesome. I highly recommended!

I called the business number and got Josh. He gave me a quote over the phone for the work. Perhaps he was on a cell or what I heard and what I got charged was substantially different. For replacing an out door light fixture and light bulb it came to $275 for 30 minutes of work.
So, get your estimate by email not over the phone.
He also gave us an estimate on 2 other projects, way out of the park in costs peer to peer and frankly, attitude has a lot to hiring someone. He eyeballed it and said I'll need at least X amount of time just figuring out what's going on before I can even give you an estimate - I guess, we pay for his time figuring things out too?
Josh comes across arrogant and frankly, who needs that besides the fact even though we asked him to take off his dirty shoes outside, he kept them on walking on my rugs after trekking in my back yard.
The workmen that carry those airport security booties or nurse booties they pull over their shoes - gotta give those men credit - Josh, meh.
Why I rated him:
3 stars: 1 for showing up (20 minutes late but he showed up), 1 star for doing the work (although he didn't know how the light fixture worked), and 1 star for using the second 30 minutes to his hour giving me estimates for the 2 other projects (albeit useless estimates because they were estimates on how much time he needed to figure things out)..
No star for not cleaning up after themselves, leaving the rubber on the wires they shaved down all over, no star for being the least creative of the estimates we've gotten.
I won't be petty for dinging him for attitude. I'll just not hire him for the work.

Can't say enough good things. Despite being busy, the son (Josh) came out, evaluated the situation quickly, gave me a fair quote, followed-up with a schedule, and ultimately performed the work (beautifully done) at the price promised. It's no surprise they have five stars.

I have worked with Jim Frost in the past but this was the first time Josh had been to my house. Such as smart, young, courteous professional man. He quickly diagnosed my electrical issue, made the necessary repair & charged a reasonable sum for his work. I wouldn't hesitate to have Josh come again; his father should be very proud!

Josh came to my home to give me a quote on a kitchen/bathroom remodel. While his schedule was booked solid for several few weeks and I did not end up using his services due to timing, I was very impressed with his knowledge and professionalism. He took the effort to listen to me and actually think about the project and not just do a drive by quote. He had some great ideas to do my project with less expense but still safely and within code requirements. I would not hesitate to use Josh Frost and Better Wired Electric in the future.

Josh installed six new light fixtures in the entryway of my house. Josh gave very helpful advice about what would and would not work in the entry. In my first consult with him on site, he steered me away from unreliable (and ugly) motion sensors that wouldn't work properly in our dark entry. The cost of the work came in under the estimate that he gave, which was great. He was professional, courteous, and arrived on time. I won't hesitate to call him for any additional electrical work our house needs.

We had an inexplicable electrical issue, so I went straight to Yelp! James and Josh were great, figured out the problem, and had us sorted in short order, with little fuss. They were friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Call them!!

These guys are great! A father and son team. When I first hired them, both Josh and James came over together and they got my new fluorescent light fixtures installed in a jiffy. Since then I have had Josh come over several times to repair things in my house. They are extremely professional, knowledgeable and forthright and they are also easy to get along with! I will be hiring them for all my electrical work from now on!

James and Josh, father and son apparently, came, they fixed my issue, they charged me $225 and were very cool about it. Their vehicle was surprisingly old.
