Welcome to the Yelp page of Michael Sizer. I am John Watson. I began my journey under Michael Sizer back in 1983 as a support technician, eventually becoming the lead electrician. I received my contractor's license in the year 1990 while employed by Michael and subsequently starting my own business. I have been operating my own business since then. Michael has since retired and continues to be referring his clients to me. With 26 years in the electrical field, I have enjoyed each moment of this journey.

Ed W.I have used John Watson a couple of times. The first time was a small minor job, but most recently he installed the wiring for my new Jacuzzi. I called and left a message on Sunday and he called me back Monday morning. He was over to my home the next day to assess what was needed and explain to me his approach. I gave him the date/time that the Jacuzzi was going to be delivered. He had everything in place and had Chris his assistant there at the house waiting for the delivery. Everything went perfectly! I'm very pleased.
James F.Quick response time. Great for small businesses. He fixed some outdoor lighting at my bar and did an awesome job.
He is a Kings fan as well, which goes a long way.
Mitzi S.UPDATE:
I called John back and had him give us a bid on a lot more work because obviously I was so happy with him! Even though his bid came in REALLY high, we liked him and were just going to let him do the work anyway. We agreed to his bid and then had to wait for a bit in order to come up with the money to do the agreed upon work, which was fine with him because he said he suddenly got really busy. When we were ready to set up a start date, both my husband and myself emailed him several times to get the project going, and we NEVER heard back. It was so strange! We kept trying to reach him, and asking whether we had done something wrong, etc., but just no response. It was very weird. He had been over a couple of times with his guys to make sure to give us a fair bid, but then suddenly just disappeared. He just never ever responded to us ever again! We ended up finding another electrician, that we have been working with since then (who actually did a great job for 1/2 the price! ). So sad! Was looking forward to working with him again, but I guess we were just meant to be ships passing in the night.....
John is here now installing a 220 - NEMA outlet in my carport to charge my Tesla S - both he and his assistant have great attitudes. He came on time and is doing great work.
Joe H.John is great find. We thought we needed a new panel installed (which costs about $2500 so it's good potential business). He came out the same day I called him and talked us out of replacing the electrical panel. The problem was something else but I bet 8 out 10 electricians would've gone with the flow and replaced the box. Instead, he did some diagnostics and pointed us in the right direction (a/c unit). Very honest and trustworthy. We will be keeping his number handy. Honest service is hard to come by nowadays.
In one of the episodes of Seinfeld, Jerry says that he always wishes for a doctor who would tell him ""get out of here!"" A doctor who would see that the patient is okay and would send him home without expensive treatment and a large bill. John Watson is that guy. I had a strange problem and although I do a lot of work around the house myself, I couldn't figured it out. I called John (he was already highly recommended) and he, after listening to me, explained a couple of possible problems. I almost insisted on him coming anyway and he said he could come immediately, but he also suggested that I check at least one thing before he comes. Well, I did and all is fine now. That's the electrician that Jerry Seinfeld would like, too.
I called John this afternoon and he was at our salon to fix a problem with an electrical outlet within 30 minutes.....I had called another local electrician, left 2 messages, didn""t get back to me. It wasn't an emergency, but problem solved with John.
had an electrical issue over the labor day weekend. One side of my master bedroom and part of my master bathroom lost electricity. Gave a call to two electricians (John Watson was one of them) on the Monday. John Called me back that evening (the other guy never bothered). Nice but Unexpected since it was still the holiday weekend. He did offered to walk me through the elimination process before he sends anyone out to fix it. This is great if the issue is simply ""user errors"". That's not the case with me. We coordinated and was able to get an appointment on Tuesday 9/6/11 at 9:30AM. His person showed up on time which is also a plus. I can't remember the person's name but extremely nice and friendly. As he was working, he chatted with me and explained the electrical layout and why things happened the way it did with my house. Got it fixed in an hour. Have not gotten the bill yet so not sure on the exact cost. I assume will be reasonable.
b'z s.I had a small emergency about 2 weeks ago and I called John at 9pm to see if he'd be available to come over and fix the problem. He asked over the phone what happened and after my explanation he walked me through everything. The problem was fixed within minutes and he didn't even insist on coming out and charge me.
He's just honest and great.
Bob K.You get what you pay for and John's rates are pretty competitive and he does good work. He was pretty good about rescheduling around my schedule, so it was appreciated. I think with any service professional who travels, its hit and miss in terms of keeping an appointment as karen b. found out. fortunately, both things worked in my favor. Again, John did a good job, i would recommend him to any friend and Yelper.
