Called in because the front of my house is pitch black at night and it's difficult just to see the door. John was very nice and you can tell he has experience. I called and setup an appointment window from 4-6pm the next day, but he called and arrived around noon.

Was quotes $200 for 2 front lights and a dryer plug by a nice woman over the phone. After inspection he was able to quickly get the dryer working again by some wires that had been disconnected. Secondly he was only able to replace the porch light, and not the garage light because the wire had been cut. So I was happy with the dryer and porch light. Ended up costing my $100 which is a huge plus.

I recommend , just remember to clear space so he can get to the breaker

John is absolutely the BEST electrician you can find! Not only does he keep his appointments, is prompt, but he is also Extremely good at what he does. Unfortunately we hired a different local electrician that tried his best to fix the same 2 light fixtures for 2 days and ended up leaving us with a bigger problem where we now needed to use the breaker to turn on and off 1/3 of our lights for opening and closing our business. We dealt with this for days before finding John. John came and fixed both light fixtures and corrected the wiring in an hour. We now have all of our lights working and can breathe. I'm so grateful! As the other reviewers have stated he is honest, reliable, knowledgeable in his craft, and affordable!!! Look no further for your electrician. He's now our number one go to for all big electrical problems and upgrades! Thanks again John!!!

John the owner came out and explain step-by-step what was needed, suggesting the best way to do it, where to place the lights for the best lighting and the safest way to do it. He is truly a very honest, professional and very compassionate about his work. He didn't try to sell us something that we didn't need and his quality of work is outstanding. JM Electric is amazing. As the other posts suggest, John is a super nice guy, and his work is excellent. My husband and I bought and old 1911 bungalow, we hired one company, and they were pretty good, but John was hands down the best. He was responsive to our calls and emails, he clearly explained the work that needed to be done to fix the problems we called him about, and best of all, he didn't oversell his services. When we needed something he told us, and when we didn't (e.g., and expensive re-wiring of knob/tube wiring) he dissuaded us from fixing a something that wasn't broke. He re-wired our kitchen, cleaned up bits of the knob/tube wiring, inspected that wiring & certified its safety, installed a range hood in the kitchen, added a GFI outlet for our subpump, added an external outlet at the back of our house, and fixed the door bell. Fantastic! He saved us money and professionally and completed the work we hired him to do. He's the first on my list to call when I need electric work done.

I live in a 1931 house has bee wired and rewired over the years. Needless to say electrical issues are expected. I've been lucky that most issues are minor and I've repaired them myself. But, then the big one happened: the overhead lights went out in the Kitchen, 1/2 bath, dinning room, laundry room and porch. I had 2 electricians try to find the problem that I paid and they both left scratching their heads. The 3rd one had a heavy workload and couldn't carve out the time to help me (and didn't charge me for the one visit).

I went 4 months working around the problem and then I posted on Facebook or my friends to recommend a GOOD electrician. John was recommended by a former boss and I gave him a call. He scheduled the visit within 5 days (after asking if needed he could try to make it sooner). Within 15 minutes of his arrival and the price of an hour (minimum service call) I am up and running in all rooms! He called me on his way home this evening to make sure everything was still working. To say I am happy would be an understatement.

After our house meter went up in flames we needed a qualified electrician. JM was the third of the three estimates needed. John arrived on time and was very professional. His price was, by far, the most reasonable. Due to the urgency of our problem; without electricity the well pump didn't work, meaning no toilets, showers, etc plus no refrigerated food or beer or cooked food for a week. He was able to rearrange his schedule to get us our power as quickly as possible, once his price was approved. He arrived by 9am with permit & parts in hand, ready to do the job. He had the inspection scheduled and didn't leave until the job was done and it passed inspection. He personally called PG&E several times for us. He called me numerous times to follow up and insure that our power was reconnected by PG&E. (Plus he put up with my questions & tolerated me watching over his shoulder the entire time.) I HIGHLY recommend JM Electric for any electrical needs. I know I will use him again, as needed, for my plumbing company.
