10 stars....if only Yelp had them! Jay of JJ Electric is an outstanding Licensed Electrician. We called for an emergency service call, and Jay arrived ahead of schedule. We really appreciated how he explained what had happened and how to prevent it again. He then expeditiously fixed several items. Jay has a knowledgeable and patient quality in his approach to his customers. If you ask a question, he gives a concise, easy to understand answer. As a Realtor, I really appreciate Jay's qualities of competence/knowledge, craftsmanship, current license, patience, and excellent communication skills. Jay is easy to reach by phone, or txt message.
When preparing a home for sale, it is essential to use Licensed Contractors. Right now, many Electricians are so busy, they don't return calls, and are generally impatient with the communicating with their clients. They just want to get in and get out. I am also finding that some electricians are working under the licenses of people in the Central Valley, and passing it off as their own license. You can tell they are not licensed by the quality of the work.
From now on JJ Electric is going to be the only Licensed Electrician I recommend to my friends.

Jay is extremely responsive, reliable and reasonable. I called during a weekday evening expecting a voicemail, but he still picked up. After explaining my situation about needing a qualified electrician to review my dead front panel resulting from an action item issued by a city inspector (residential home), he agreed to look at it the next day and arrived punctually. Jay resolved my issue on the spot and even told me to contact him if the city inspector has questions.

He's easy to communicate with via text, email or phone. I'm impressed with the quick turnaround time, professionalism, honesty and knowledge.

Jay is very professional and his rates are reasonable. Came to my house to install a car charger and some recessed lighting. The work was done quickly and he explained everything he was doing, including correcting some lighting that we discovered was not up to code. Would definitely use his services again.

Jay is a real professional. Called to fix pool electric wiring. Jay had to dig up the pipe that held the wiring and found the pipe was corroded and the wiring exposed and dangerous. He found a solution to access the area and worked in the baking son for hours to get the job completed.

Jay was able to come and accommodate my schedule. That was the best part of the service.

We needed 2 appliances connected to our home. He successfully connected the oven, but the electric cook top was not connected properly. The 4 burners came on but the fan was not functioning.

I thought it might be a warranty issue, since the product was just delivered. So I called Whirlpool and they sent out a technician. The technician examined the cook top and later opened up the electric wire box where the cook top and house electrical wires meet.

It turned out Jay did not connect the ground wire from the cook top the ground wire for the house. The technician connected the two ground wires and the fan was functioning properly.

So I opened up the electrical box for the oven, just to make sure that was connected properly and it was.

1 star was removed for no doing the job properly for the electric cook top. Additional 1 star was removed for still not having sent me an invoice for the service provided after I've asked for it 10 days ago.

The initial engagement was quick but the follow-up and the level of completeness leaves something to be desired.

Soooo grateful we found Jay. We desperately needed an electrician over the weekend, and based on the yelp reviews, contacted Jay. It was Saturday evening when half of our lights went out. Although Jay had worked a long day, he was very considerate to come out and assess the problem. He quickly discovered that the main fuse in the outside service panel had failed. Since the fuse would not be available until Monday, Jay took it upon himself to reroute critical circuits including our fridge and microwave to get us through the weekend. Even though he was booked up, Jay fit us in and solved the problem (replaced main fuse and circuit breakers) early Monday morning. Jay is the BEST...extremely reliable, efficient, knowledgeable and a very warm, kind man. We're so happy to have found such a wonderful electrician! Thanks Jay!!!

I called JJ, and explained the problem i had going on in my garage. I had changed the circuit breaker that i felt was the problem, yet still no electricity. I'm not comfortable enough to know how to test the box with a gauge. He came the next morning, tested the wires in the box, and within minutes electricity had been restored. He showed me how to use the meter for any future problems. When finished I asked him how much, and he said....No charge...
He's a very personable guy. I will keep his number on my phone now (being a new home owner). It's nice to know someone who""s fair, and knowledgeable (and able to come by when needed).
I would definitely use him again, and refer him to others.

Jay is as good as his word not only did he come out on an emergency issue when we lost all our lights in our kitchen he stayed till 9:30 pm making sure we had lighting set up temporarily until he could return the next evening with the parts needed to update the wiring and installed beautiful new lighting fixtures.

I would recommend without reservation JJ for your next electrical needs.
