Jay was the only electrician that returned my desperate call around 4pm on a Friday afternoon! We needed an estimate to cover safety issues per a home inspection report related to the purchase of a home for my buyers.

Jay installed lights for our nursery. We were thoroughly impressed with his professionalism, attention to detail, and thoroughness in his work. He was able to get the lights installed quickly and avoid studs (he didn't have to open our wall). Once the lights were installed, the room looked as good as new! He even cleaned up the floor before he left. We will certainly be going back to him for our future electrical project needs.

I really put Jay to the test. I have completely remodeled a home from top to bottom. This means every switch was converted to high-end LeGrand dimmers and switches with custom hand-made covers. Contemporary chandeliers over the dining room and in the foyer; outside lights and really cool sconces in the entry; a new trac light on a very high ceiling in the Master. This was a huge job, but both of us looked at what we created and thought: WOW! Hire this guy. Such a pleasure to work with.

It is hard to find service oriented companies today.
I had a small problem that I had lost power in a room and couldn't figure it out.
I checked all of the breakers and none were tripped.
I called Jay and he responded within an hour at the house, found the problem quickly and fixed it. On top of that he said N/C but to keep him in mind for bigger projects (which I absolutely will do).
I can't say enough of his service level and if you are in need of an electrical contractor, you cannot go wrong here!

10 stars....if only Yelp had them! Jay of JJ Electric is an outstanding Licensed Electrician. We called for an emergency service call, and Jay arrived ahead of schedule. We really appreciated how he explained what had happened and how to prevent it again. He then expeditiously fixed several items. Jay has a knowledgeable and patient quality in his approach to his customers. If you ask a question, he gives a concise, easy to understand answer. As a Realtor, I really appreciate Jay's qualities of competence/knowledge, craftsmanship, current license, patience, and excellent communication skills. Jay is easy to reach by phone, or txt message.
When preparing a home for sale, it is essential to use Licensed Contractors. Right now, many Electricians are so busy, they don't return calls, and are generally impatient with the communicating with their clients. They just want to get in and get out. I am also finding that some electricians are working under the licenses of people in the Central Valley, and passing it off as their own license. You can tell they are not licensed by the quality of the work.
From now on JJ Electric is going to be the only Licensed Electrician I recommend to my friends.

Jay is extremely responsive, reliable and reasonable. I called during a weekday evening expecting a voicemail, but he still picked up. After explaining my situation about needing a qualified electrician to review my dead front panel resulting from an action item issued by a city inspector (residential home), he agreed to look at it the next day and arrived punctually. Jay resolved my issue on the spot and even told me to contact him if the city inspector has questions.

He's easy to communicate with via text, email or phone. I'm impressed with the quick turnaround time, professionalism, honesty and knowledge.

Jay is very professional and his rates are reasonable. Came to my house to install a car charger and some recessed lighting. The work was done quickly and he explained everything he was doing, including correcting some lighting that we discovered was not up to code. Would definitely use his services again.
