I would highly recommend JC Electric. I had what I thought was a faulty outlet and had tried all the troubleshooting I could think of when I called. Carlos was able to come out right away. He found the problem in a different switch (which I would have never found on my own). His work was fast and efficient. He saved me a lot of time and trouble. I saved his card.

Definitely recommend JC Electrical. Carlos was so nice, helpful, and timely. He was able to come out quickly and install some can lights in the room we'll be using for schooling this year. The end result is beautiful, just what we needed and wanted, and his customer service is great. We will be calling him again for future electrical needs.

There's a new guy in town and he works the electrical as others would work in clay or stone. Like any great artist, Carlos (Juan Carlos = JC) is an absolute master of his craft. The Picasso of power. The Shakespeare of surge protection. Not only did he fix the majority of our many electrical issues, he did so with great communication and in a timely manner. I can safely say he will be my go-to for any future electrical needs.

Our biggest priority was fixing some GFCI outlets beneath our sink. He schooled us on how such outlets are notoriously temperamental and installed a standard traditional outlet instead, saving us from forever reaching behind a mess of cleaning supplies to reset and fiddle with dangerous electrical.

He next fixed a non-working outlet and light fixture in my shed which left a previous electrician scratching his head. Carlos fixed it up like it was nothing.

He could not fix an old ventilation fan that's making awful noise in our laundry room, mainly because of its age and the lack of alternative parts on hand, but he promised to follow up with a fix and a quote.

Look out, artists of yesteryear. I can safely say he will be my go-to for any future electrical needs.

Had a patio light installed where there was no existing wiring installed. They did a great job, quick, and reasonably priced. I will be using them again

I do not have enough kind words to share about Carlos, the owner of JC Electrical.

We had purchased our home two years ago from a home flipper without investing in a good electrical inspection. We purchased a new dryer and connected it to the existing outlet, only to find that our dryer would shut off after 5 minutes of running. When we called our home warranty-approved electrical company to come out, they told us that it was unsafe to keep the line connected and that there was a 14 gauge cable installed, rather than a 10 gauge cable used (fire hazard!) At that time, we had been quoted a ridiculously high price for electrical work, were completely turned off from fixing this issue and spent two years hang drying our clothes.

Fast forward to five days ago - I did a quick google search looking for an electrician, found JC Electrical. Thanks to the new (not improved) Yelp Algorithm, it looked like this company had not been reviewed yet, however that was far from the truth. If you scroll all the way to the bottom of your app, press the tiny grey button that says ""reviews that are not currently recommended"", you get these very genuine, five-star reviews for this company that unfortunately do not get included in the Yelp rating system.

Long story short - I called JC Electrical, Carlos answered on the first ring. I told him my issue, he gave me a quote over the phone, and he came by that afternoon to look at the job. It turned out that it was more work than I had described over the phone - he needed to install 86ft of 10-3 romex, conduit 3/4"" and connectors, and a new 30 amp plug for the dryer, and it needed to run in the crawlspace under my home. Despite this extra work, he matched his original quote over the phone, and scheduled the job for Tuesday (5 days away). He gave me a 1-hour window for arrival early in the morning and a 3-4 hour work time quote in case I needed to get back to work (how considerate!)

Carlos showed up on the earlier side of his 1-hour window with his colleague Jose, and they got right to work. They didn't leave a mess anywhere and politely knocked on doors before entering the main house. Carlos even gave my dog some love as he was feeling nervous about the electricians. They finished up early in 2.5 hours. Carlos wrote up my repair order, got everything settled quickly, and emailed me my receipt.

After the work was finished, we had a nice chat about the art of flipping houses (this is his side business), and I told him more about our remaining projects on our current house (cement work, tree cutting, fence building) and he was kind enough to share his favorite people to work with and to talk about the integrity that should go into a flipped house. In his words, ""karma comes back to bite you"", and that investors shouldn't make shortcuts in house flips, as it is easier and cheaper to fix electrical work BEFORE sealing the walls rather than putting that work on the homeowner.

If you want an electrician that is trustworthy, values your time, provides competitive quotes, treats you with respect and dignity, and goes above and beyond in both customer service and kindness, you MUST call Carlos. We will absolutely call him again for any electrical work we may need in the future, and will recommend him to all of our friends and family in the Greater Sacramento area. Thank you Carlos!

Carlos was awesome. He was quick to respond and came over the same day to give a quote and when I agreed he started working on the lights around the house. I had him install lights for basically the whole house (kitchen, bedrooms, livingroom etc). The prices seemed reasonable and because he was quick in responding and acting it was more convenient for me. He finished work in one day although it took the whole day and he left pretty late he wanted to finish the job and not leave us hanging. I appreciate that so much!

We are very grateful for JC. Carlos (the owner) was quick to respond and came out within an hour to look at our shorting lights. He immediately knew that it was an issue for SMUD and made sure I knew what to say to them. While we were waiting for SMUD he quickly fixed my basement wiring and upgraded some issues on my breakers. He was professional, friendly, and has affordable rates. We will call him again for sure!
