Let me say this. If you ever need a True Company that cares and know about electrical. Carlos and his company is the company to go with. First let me say and how grateful I am that he is not the type of person to explain and make a diagnostic over the phone, unlike the 4 companies I called in the surrounding area, by which all of them kept saying. ""Open your circuit box and flip the switch"". Even when I told those companies each time, twice or more, what was going on. The circuit breaker will no longer reset itself. Those Companies didn't want to listen to a potential new and maybe recurring customer. And each company wanted to do a look & see diagnostic and charge me for travel time. Which is basically, ""time wasted and I could be doing something else"". To me those companies are lazy. I don't care what their reviews or pics they post on their Yelp, FB, IG, TikTok. They want large jobs. Not petty, don't waste my time jobs when I could be doing something else or nothing at all.
Then I found Carlos and JC Electrical. His phone presence was calm, professional and he listened to my issue. He repeated my issue back to me and said he has the available time to determine if its a Circuit Breaker Switch issue or something else. So he scheduled the same day appointment and was here in no time.
So here is or should I say, was my electrical issue. Since 2016 I have a weird Master Breaker Switch Issue. 2 months into owning the home. The switch would go trip. I would then reset the switch and all would be normal. Then a year later the switch would trip once more. This time, I called the House Builder and they sent over their ""house electrical technician"" to resolve the issue. So they did. They replaced the switch. All was fine for about 3 years, Then the switch would trip. I would reset it and all is good. So this would occur over the years until this year of 2024. So I did what all other homeowners would do. Call a Electrical Company and see what they could do. Which leads me to my two paragraphs above.
Carlos and his apprentice came over to my home. We immediately went to the Circuit Box outside of my home and see what the issue could be. We did the most obvious thing. We tried to reset the switch. Even though the three (3) of us can see the switch in its neutral position. We, or I should say Carlos and his apprentice, tried several times to flip and reset the switch. Then Carlos asked his apprentice to get another breaker switch from their work vehicle. In the same parallel task, Carlos is explaining to me that it could simply be an aged or malfunctioning breaker switch. So, with the new breaker switch out of the packaging, turning off the main power, we installed the new switch and voila!!! The switch...it tripped. Dang it!! So we re-installed my old switch back to the panel as it's still a good switch and is working as intended.
So during the our initial talk at my home, he was saying somewhere in your Master Suite or is not called Primary Suite? Whatever new lingo they are using these days, is causing a ground shortage somewhere. Somewhere in that area of my ""Suite"" is the issue. So JC Electrical is now on the Diagnostic Analysis Hunt. Where to begin? Since JC is familiar with new home builds and the how new home builds contractors are on a time rush deadline. He and his apprentice decided ok, lets begin and with start the process of elimination and possibly finding the ground shortage They opened up each outlet and light switch. Tested each one to see where which of these outlets or switch keeps tripping the breaker even with some accidental trips (hey its a good thing cause as I have said, the breaker switch is doing what's intended to do. Trip and then manually reset to ensure it goes back to its original position).
For about 2 hours, they did their process of elimination until finally. Finally, (as the Rock would say), have found... the issue. I have a can/recessed light above my Walk-In Closet door. Inside there was a ""wire"" that was not cut or sealed/sleeved properly. With my main HVAC in the same area in the attic crawl space. It would seem that the air pressure would slightly move this wire onto the can and therefore cause the ""trip"".
So after a quick like fix. All is well. His knowledge about electrical. He listens to his customer. But if I have to say. You as a customer needs to explain all that there is about your issue or the type of work that needs to be done. You are the home owner and you should know more about your than the contractor.
Budget permitting, I will be contacting him to install a ceiling fan and junction box in my loft and some other electrical needs.
Juan Carlos, thanks man!! Appreciate your patience, time and knowledge in all that you do.

I had a great experience with them in May 2023. Tech came out and switched out older fluorescent lights to newer LED lights in the kitchen. I was quoted and billed for a service that was about 40% less than another local company I have used. My experience and rating for me was because the service was on-time/clean/everything still good. I can't comment on the many reviews on the company because I don't know anything about the projects. Sorry for you guys though, doesn't seem good on some of them.

This is the WORST company. I had an appointment scheduled for 5:00, I left work early and got home at 4:54. I saw the technician outside, he never came to my door, he left at 5:01 after talking to his supervisor stating he had been waiting a while. They have no integrity and clearly don't care about customer service. I am so appalled with this company. Save yourself the stress and disappointment and hire someone else.

Carlos replaced my electrical panel with a solar-ready panel. He charged a competitive rate and delivered a high-quality product. His staff and subcontractor equally performed well and demonstrated a superior level of competence. The team went above and beyond the call of duty. I would highly recommend this electrician.

We had Carlos put our overhead residential power underground in a conduit and install a new electrical panel for several thousand dollars.
Unfortunately, the conduit is not flush with the house because the trench for the conduit was dug without grinding out the foundation overpour. This may have been because the conduit was installed late in the evening in the dark in advance of a SMUD inspection. We expressed concern for the angle of the conduit as soon as it was installed and prior to SMUD putting the electricity cables in the conduit. However, we were assured that it would be fixed which was not the case.
After the electricity cables were installed, the conduit was affixed to the house with wooden blocks painted a bright fluorescent green. After speaking with Carlos, I had him remove the blocks and install a metal strap for a better appearance, but it still looked wonky at that angle.
There was no way of fixing this without pulling another permit and having SMUD pull the lines and we had this done by another electrician at considerable expense.

Great service at a reasonable price. Carlos replaced lights, ceiling fans, installed a video doorbell. He did a very good job and put great care in his work. I will definitely have him work on my other electrical replacements and installs.

Carlos came out next day and was awesome. Addressed my electrical issue and knew the fix pretty much immediately. This is my second time working with JC Electrical and I'm beyond happy with the service. Prices are absolutely reasonable and I didn't ever feel like he was doing more than needed. My home and family feel safer. He found that several of my plugs were not grounded and fixed those without asking, just because it was the right thing to do. 100% recommend.

I am so thankful for this company. My area builds houses that tend to have electrical issues, and this was just a more extreme case than the common dead outlet or dimming lights. I don't know the technical stuff that happened but we had major difficulties installing this Arlo doorbell. First problem was it couldn't draw enough power from the wires, so a new transformer was installed. Then some odd thing happened with the chime box and the wiring. Finally, I had a wifi problem which his suggestion of using an extender worked like a charm. All in all, tons of hoops just for a damn camera ringer.
Carlos spent hours working on this. And what I truly appreciate about him is he maintained a friendly conversation going the whole time. I didn't want to keep him too long, but although he's sure the problem was fixed, he waited, reset the breakers, checked if I had the 2.4 bandwidth needed, etc etc. just very thorough and insisted on us succeeding. It just took a lot of patience, rethinking, and double checking to get this done. And issues keep popping up one after another.
I had some decent electricians work on my house, but this is by far the only one I'll be writing a review for.

JC Electrical = quality, clean work + reasonable pricing....we couldn't be happier! We hired them to replace our bathroom exhaust fan, run external plugs, and rewire and replace our outdoor fan + back porch light. The guys showed up on time and cleaned up nicely after all the work was done. I've already referred them to a family member and plan to use them for future electrical needs.

Fantastic experience!
Carlos was professional, knowledgeable, he explained everything he was doing and why he was doing it. He showed up right on time, did great work and was extremely pleasant to work with. I will be using him again and would recommend his company to anyone looking for a good electrician.
