In 1949, Jackson Electric began by Tennis and Alma, and has been a trusted provider of power and protection services in West Alabama for over 65 years. Business and home security solutions were initiated as part of the electrical services in the mid-20th century.

During 1972 Chuck Turner join as a stakeholder of Jackson Electric and enhanced alarm system design and setup. The year 1978 marked the division of the firm's safety solutions from the electric side, and in 1982 it became JSS. During that year, JSS took over a local security firm in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

During 1988, Chuck Turner purchased both the power and protection services and combined the companies. In 1992, his son, Brad Turner was named Vice President of Jackson Security Services, and in 2000, Essary was recruited as the VP and General Manager.

During 2014, Jackson Electric Services combined with a like-minded business in the Tuscaloosa vicinity. Currently, Jackson Security Services carries on its commitment to excellence. He remains at the helm the company as General Manager and Vice President.
