Jackson Electric was established by the Jackson family, and has been a dependable provider of electrical and safety solutions in the West Alabama region for over 65 years. Business and home security solutions were launched as part of the electric company in the early 1950s.

The year 1972 saw Chuck Turner join as a partner of Tennis Jackson Electric Company and enhanced security system design and installation. By 1978 the division of the firm's safety solutions from the electrical services, and in 1982 it became JSS. That same year, JSS took over a competitor in security in Tuscaloosa.

In 1988, Turner took ownership of both the electrical and safety divisions and combined the companies. During 1992, Turner's son, Brad was designated as Vice President of Jackson Security Services, and in 2000, he was hired as the VP and General Manager.

During 2014, Jackson Electric Services combined with a like-minded business in the Tuscaloosa area. At present, Jackson Security Services continues its dedication to service. Jim Essary continues to lead the company as its General Manager and VP.
