Michael was the electrician who fixed my GFI plug. He was communicative about his arrival time, very respectful and kind. Most importantly, he fixed my outlet. Firstly I'd like to say that the technician Alejandro was very good. He was kind, knowledgable, honest, reliable and kept a clean workplace always covering up the rooms where he cut drywall, etc. Mike also worked in the home and he was very good too.

Now for the egregious, outrageous part.

So the work was for Innovative to cut some holes in several rooms and install integrated LED lights in the cut outs.
For the rest of the house were I already had cut outs I would do the replacement myself and I told Innovative wanted to match the lights with the same type of lights that they were installing elsewhere, so I asked them if they could add those 22 lights at cost, they said sure.
Next thing you know I'm looking at a $2200 estimate (shown below) for those 22 lights.

I then looked up the cost of the identical lights at home depot $210 (for 24 lights). A markup of 1000% (markup = profit/(cost * 100%)).
Anyway I demanded to speak to Adriana (I think this is the name of the lady who does the estimates), where she gave me a bogus explanation how they have costs associated with keeping parts in the warehouse, plus costs for the technician having to drive the parts to my house (a drive he had to do anyway), she seemed completely indifferent to the fact I was really pissed.
Note that I had expected to pay a slight markup, but honestly I'm not even sure US military contractors in Afganistan - who have cart blanche to spend money - even markup anywhere to this extent, simply put this kind of a markup cannot be explained away. Perhaps the only way it can be explained away is if they incubated the LED much like a penguin does with its egg, nurtured the LED for a full antarctic winter and then delivered the LED to me nice and warm.....

This was price gouging of the very worst kind.
