Tom Kretzschmar, the President, holds a degree from Southwest Texas State University, is affiliated with the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America, and is an Industry Partner with the American Society of Interior Designers. Kretzschmar's experience originates from one of Texas' most historic and reputable electrical contracting firms, Rulon Electric, which his grandfather started over 65 years ago. After completing his studies at Southwest Texas State University, Kretzschmar refined his skills at Rulon and, in 1980, established Illuminations Lighting Design. Illuminations began by specializing in fine art illumination and cabinetry, but quickly expanded to cover all forms of creative lighting solutions, such as landscape lighting and home electrical services. Tom has been granted three US Patents for bespoke lighting fixtures, available internationally under the Phantom Lighting Systems trademark.
