Tom Kretzschmar, our President, graduated from Southwest Texas State University, is part of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America, and collaborates with the American Society of Interior Designers as an Industry Partner. Kretzschmar's history is rooted in one of Texas' longest-standing and most respected electrical contracting companies, Rulon Electric, established by his grandfather more than 65 years ago. Upon graduating from Southwest Texas State University, Kretzschmar polished his abilities at Rulon and launched Illuminations Lighting Design in 1980. Illuminations began by specializing in fine art illumination and cabinetry, but quickly expanded to cover all forms of creative lighting solutions, such as outdoor illumination and home electrical services. Tom holds three US Patents for unique lighting fixtures, marketed worldwide under the Phantom Lighting Systems brand.
