Tom Kretzschmar, President, is an alumnus of Southwest Texas State University, a member of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America, and an Industry Partner with the American Society of Interior Designers. Kretzschmar's experience originates from one of Texas' most historic and reputable electrical contracting firms, Rulon Electric, which his grandfather started over 65 years ago. After completing his studies at Southwest Texas State University, Kretzschmar refined his skills at Rulon and, in 1980, established Illuminations Lighting Design. Initially, Illuminations focused on art lighting and cabinetry, but soon broadened its scope to encompass all types of artistic lighting design, including outdoor illumination and home electrical services. Tom has been granted three US Patents for bespoke lighting fixtures, available internationally under the Phantom Lighting Systems trademark.
