Tom Kretzschmar, President, is an alumnus of Southwest Texas State University, a member of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America, and an Industry Partner with the American Society of Interior Designers. Kretzschmar's experience originates from one of Texas' most historic and reputable electrical contracting firms, Rulon Electric, which his grandfather started over 65 years ago. Following his graduation from Southwest Texas State University, Kretzschmar developed his expertise at Rulon and founded Illuminations Lighting Design in 1980. Initially, Illuminations specialized in art lighting and cabinetry, but rapidly grew to include all varieties of aesthetic lighting design, including landscape lighting and home electrical services. Tom has received three US Patents for custom lighting fixtures, which are distributed globally under the Phantom Lighting Systems trademark.
