Tom Kretzschmar, President, is an alumnus of Southwest Texas State University, a member of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America, and an Industry Partner with the American Society of Interior Designers. Kretzschmar's background traces back to one of Texas' oldest and most esteemed electrical contracting firms, Rulon Electric, founded by his grandfather over 65 years ago. After completing his studies at Southwest Texas State University, Kretzschmar refined his skills at Rulon and, in 1980, established Illuminations Lighting Design. Initially, Illuminations specialized in art lighting and cabinetry, but rapidly grew to include all varieties of creative lighting solutions, including garden lighting and home electrical services. Tom holds three US Patents for unique lighting fixtures, marketed worldwide under the Phantom Lighting Systems brand.
