Isaias (owner) came over to help with our recessed lighting that were humming loudly and driving me nuts. I am very impressed with his professionalism. Here are some of the reasons why working with Isaias was great:
(1) ease of booking appointments online and was able to get an appointment within a week;
(2) responsive to emails regarding bids, appointments, and proposed solution to the lighting problem;
(3) punctual! I had to take time off work for this appointment, so I am super appreciative for people who are punctual (I also had 2 appointments with him and he was punctual to both and took exactly the amount of time he said he would to fix the problem);
(4) worked quickly and efficiently;
(5) very friendly, courteous, and cleaned up after himself;
(6) patiently explained what he was doing and answered all my questions;
and the most important reason:
(7) He actually fixed the lighting problem (and for the quoted bid which was quite reasonable)!

I will definitely keep Isaias in mind for all future electrical issues and refer to all friends.

Ike is a true professional and does outstanding work! I live in an 26 y.o. small HOA, of 8-townhomes, in a courtyard setting in SF. It was time to replace the common area walkway/pathway lighting. We were starting to have issues with the automatic timers not working and some lights burning out. So we researched several electricians with experience with such lighting.

After meeting Ike (Isaias), and speaking with him, he seemed to be very knowledgeable about lighting. His company has been in business for years, where he took over for his dad. Ike assessed the issues and explained them to us. He made his recommendations, some things our HOA never thought about, in an effort we thought we can do on our own. The light timer was shot and replaced it with a timer, as well as a new transformer. Ike recommended a timer/transformer combo unit and referred our HOA to an outdoor lighting specialty company to check out their products. So we can order what we personally wanted for our own aesthetics feelings to fit our property. Something Ike suggested, that we make personal calls on a selection, rather than his decision, and avoid conflicts with our HOA. The kits included all necessary parts. Costing more than what our HOA has seen in the past, we decided to research the big box home improvement stores. We looked at potential/compatible kits and priced the individual parts separately. And priced parts separately from Ike's online referral company. The kits were a better deal. But we noticed the quality of lights at the big box stores were low quality to us. Cheap materials.

The longest wait was our decision of where to purchase. As soon as we made out selection, we gave a window of delivery to Ike. I received the kit within days from the East Coast. Ike came the very next day. He sent one of his crew guys, Leonard, who was very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. And Ike also came by to assist, after checking out other current job sites. They finished within a couple of hours. Left the areas all clean and tidy. Even the removal of the old timer and replacement of the combo timer/transformer was done clean, tested and works fine. The lights we ordered are heavy duty brass, led lights which last longer (bulbs) and more energy efficient. They look great and the entire HOA truly satisfied. These lights will still be here when most original homeowners from 26 years ago will be long gone.

As far as the price, Ike's labor price was very reasonable. I compared the hourly rates to other contractors we've used, and a they're lower in hourly charges. The final invoice was much lower than the original estimate. The cost of the light kit was more than the labor.

I would refer Ike's Electric to anyone requiring electrical work. Even HOA needs, whether common areas or personal inside properties. Check out Ike's website. Ike knows the business and works well with customers. Keep up the great work and business efforts and the family business will go an and continue to thrive. Ike's company is actually in SF's Mission, my area in SF. Supporting a local small business is good business for all. Especially a family business. This is the second time Isais brought his experience and expertise to fix a lighting problem. Just like the first time, he was able to quickly diagnose the problem. I had a very old lighting fixture which Isaias disconnected and then took to his shop to repair. He texted me in a few days, came to my home, and reconnected the repaired fixture. It was like new and I had lighting again. Isais responds right away to a request for an appointment. He's always on time, he immediately diagnoses the problem, and fixes it. I highly recommend Isais. He is fabulous and he will be the electrician I call for future jobs.

Contacted Ike's about hanging a heavy chandelier in my house. Isaias, co-oowner, contacted me very promptly, quickly scheduled an appointment for a very reasonable quote. He called me the day of the appointment to see if he could come a little early to make sure he didn't need a second helper, which was super. He did the job wonderfully, was extremely professional making sure the installation was perfect. After he was gone I contacted him about possibly replacing a power cable on the chandelier-the cable is black and looks a little clunky against the rest of the fixture, Isaias is looking to source a suitable replacement. Easy e-payment, prompt communication and overall superlative service. I highly recommend this local family owned business providing wonderful professional service.
