I really want to give this guy no stars. He is very unresponsive
and unreliable! He gives you no confidence that his work would be any good. Just because I had to keep calling him and then I had the nerve to want to know what time he would arrive and how long the job might take, he decides I am being to pushy and doesn't want to do the work!

Kevin, did a very complicated rewiring and upgrade of my electric panel. Kevin is very detail orientated and leaves nothing to chance. He communicates in a timely manner and always talks you through the issues that are arising, He is very proud of his work, even to the point where he spends a lot of time on the project to make sure everything is done 100% to code and his own personal high standards.

Kevin was super responsive, straightforward about potential costs and decision we might be faced with depending on what was found to be the problem. In a single day he got our call, stopped by the house, investigated, shopped for parts and returned to remedy the situation. All of this while we were not at home. He then went the extra mile to make sure our pool equipment was wired up correctly, which had been the initial concern, but not found to be the cause of the problem.

Hull Electric (Kevin) performed an electric panel upgrade from the old 120A to the most current 200A used in new construction nowadays. Prior to selecting Hull Electric for performing the job, I solicited several quotes and interviewed some other leading candidates - out of all, Kevin made me feel the most comfortable with having him perform the job. Kevin took the time to explain each step and share his thoughts as far as the job planning and on top of this his price was the most competitive. Additionally, Kevin did an excellent job coordinating with the city inspector and Edison. Kevin's job is beautiful and I even ended up giving him another job since I liked his professionalism, honesty and quality of work. I am highly recommending Hull Electric for your desired job.

Excellent service at a reasonable price.
The previous owners had some messed up outlets and switches, light switches did not work in 5 rooms. Kevin figured out what they did and corrected the problems. Great analytical thinking. Highly recommended.

Kevin is honest and cares about people. It's not just about making money. I came home to a house where power was out for half the house. Certain rooms had power and others did not. I checked the outside panel and none of the circuit breakers tripped. I had no clue what's up. It was around 7pm when I called Kevin and he took a lot of time to explain the possible causes and mentioned it was likely due to SCE issue, which could include meter, transformer, etc. He even suggested checking with other neighbors to see if they experience the same thing. We did check with some neighbors and sure enough, it was SCE.

Kevin did offer that if he could stop by right away to troubleshoot for us if we wanted to. It was reassuring that he was 1) immediately available if we needed him 2) he gave us some options that did not cost us a dime but cost him his time 3) I could just tell he was genuinely a nice and caring guy not just after my money.

I didn't have to pay him for his advice but he is definitely on my speed dial if I should need an electrician. He is tops in my books.

All of Kevin's 5 star reviews are well deserved. I am an ex-general contractor so I know a few things about building. Prompt response to my urgent phone call, came first things this morning, took care of the problem quickly, and all at a fair price. Can you ask for more!?! I don't think so.

I'm new to this area and had an someone else come out to find out why my lights in my entire house were flickering. After they looked into it they said they needed to replace the entire power panel. Didn't believe him, so I searched here on Yelp, found Hull Electric. Kevin came and I explained to him what the other guy said, after he started looking into it he tells me that the panel is fine. Long story short, we ended up having to call Edison out, Kevin called for us to explain the situation. Kevin went to get some replacement parts, installed the new parts and then called Edison for us again. Kevin stated that Edison has an issue on their line. Later that same night Edison came back out and sure enough Kevin was right, one of the cables that went to my house was completely out!! Edison had to re-splice some wires and now everything works!! Thanks to Kevin and his knowledge and honestly he saved us thousands of dollars!! I highly recommend him!! He's a good honest person and wants to do what's best for his customer and not rip them off!! It's hard to find people like Kevin these days!!! Thanks Kevin!!
