Imagine this I buy a hot water heater from you - $4,000 less than a year ago. Due to your shotty install and finding out the hard way you did not insulate the pipes they burst.... During the freezing temps and flood your garage. And now you have no water at all due to the location of the pipe that burst. And the soonest you can get someone here is tomorrow night. Oh did I mention I pay $20 a month for servicing? oh and let me not forget the 15k spent on an hvac unit that you didn't bring a refrigerant line up to code that blew? And now we have a half ass welded hole in our 15k system? DONT CHOOSE HILLER
Our AC was getting quite loud and had not been serviced in a couple of years, so I decided it was time for preventative maintenance before our summer heat. I called Hiller first based on their reviews. Good move. Everyone was very professional, from the first call through the end of the project.
Eric came out the next day, did a full inspection and offered some suggestions. Absolutely no attempted hard sell, or attempt to sell anything. What most impressed me was his pride in working for Hiller, respect for their training system, and respect for the owner.
I decided to check the cost of a complete replacement and a project representative, Corey came out. He had the same attitude as Eric, and we negotiated a very fair deal.
Three days later, JR and his crew arrived with my new system. Polite, professional, well trained.
You have to respect a company with so many people who are so happy and proud to work there.
My electric panel blew up at 5:30 in the afternoon. I was able to schedule an appointment for the next day at 5-7 pm. But Hiller was able to get an electrician here in the morning instead. The electrician that came to my house was Roy Hastings. Head very kind and polite. He did an excellent job replacing my electric panel. I will call Hiller for any plumbing , electrical or HVAC issues I have.
Called for a bid and they arrived on time. From the start it felt like a sales pitch to sell me a tankless water heater installation. For $6400. I really wanted a conventional tank heater. The tankless brand is $1500-2500 cash and carry. Bid had Romex at $7 a foot, iron pipe at super inflated prices. Took three days to get back to discuss bid. I had already hired other qualified providers at much lower price by that time.
these guys might do a great job but way over priced. Shop around. Plus the guy that finally called me back to answer questions got rude when I told him why I was going elsewhere.
Hiller can be pricey, but they can always get us in quickly and do great work. If you're having major work done and you have time to price shop, you might want to get a few quotes just to compare; however, overall they are a good option.
We had them out to clear backed up drains they charged us $199.00 and the next day they were backing up again. They did come back and clear them at no additional charge and we got a quote for a repipe. Needless to say they backed up again so we called a different company and paid another $200.00 and had them give us a quote which was a LOT less than Hiller, we are doing the repipe and new water heater with this other company.
I would not recommend Hiller to anyone. They have come out numerous times to my house and they have had to redo things more than once. They are extremely expensive and to be honest I don't think they always know what they're doing. They like making excuses for things they don't do correctly.
Call to get electrical quote. Explained that a wall was removed and I needed outlets moved and added. The tech arrived and said he needed a permit to perform work. This was not explained when the appointment was scheduled. I was made to pay for he service fee and no quote was given. They need to train their operators on the business to avoid wasting the consumers time. When my contractor arrives next week I will not be calling happy Hiller (mad consumer) to do the work.
Wonderful company and I called around to several places and this was by far the cheapest to get my A/C looked at. He got it up and running again in a short period of time, he also did not harass me to buy anything or make me feel obligated to do this or that. He understood I needed to speak with my husband before decisions were made. I respect that so much because it makes me as a customer feel better about the decisions I'm making.
They also send a text and email for an appointment reminder. Call and text when the technician is on their way. In the text you receive the technicians name and picture as well so you know who you're letting in your home.
I want to add I signed up for their Happy Hiller Club also and got 10% off as well as diagnostic fee waived. For $23 a month they'll come out twice a year to check the A/C and heat and once a year to check the electrical portions of my home and do a tune up and once a year to do a tune up of all of my plumbing including emptying my hot water heater and clearing all of the sediment out. There is no diagnostic fee and you get 10% off of whatever they do. You earn $100 a year in hiller cash that you can accumulate and say if you keep the contract with them for 10 years you have $1000 saved up in Hiller Cash and you need a new A/C unit you can put that $1000 towards it plus the 10% off. Oh and you get priority scheduling because your a member
Great team of young men installed my new HVAC system today. Professional, knowledgeable, courteous group that cleaned up after themselves. Thanks Dylan, David and Adam on a great install. As for my new system, well it looks pretty and seems to be working great. Let's see what happens.
