Besides excellent and clean workmanship, Tim always texted when he would be there and what he'd be doing. I think it's the fantastic communication that sets him apart from the rest. On time, reasonably priced, professional and personable. He upgraded a panel and added several grounded plugs to my older home. I was there when the inspector signed off on the panel and he only had good things to say about the workmanship. Definitely will be calling him for other work and am happy to recommend him.
My neighbor's tree fell onto my backyard and broke the power line, the weather head, and wire, etc. I found Grid Electric on Yelp, fortunately they was able to come and do an emergency service for us. All the repairs was done professionally within three hours.
After the repair by Tim and Daniel, my house was still out of power and internet, because I needed to have an electrical permit, electrical inspection, and then PG&E to reconnect the power. Tim then used his computer to get a permit for me online and called to schedule the inspector for me. He also followed up with me the next day after the repair and scheduled another inspector for me because the one who said would come was sick. My house finally has power now and I know this won't happen so quick without Tim's help. I can feel that he really cares about his customer.
I have been using Yelp for several years and this is my first review ever. I'm very very impressed by his service!
My 60 year old 100amp electrical pannel was full and in need of an upgrade. After looking at other companies on Yelp I decided to call Grid Electric and I couldn't be happier I did. The price was right and service was even better... Tim the owner was very professional and honest, he didn't try to upsell me on anything I didn't need and took pride in his work. I would recommend his service to anyone looking for electric work to be done.
Tim helped us to do a panel and service upgrade at our home. He also installed some additional lighting and hung a chandelier for us. After contacting multiple electricians, the pricing was very reasonable and the he was very responsive to getting the work started and completed. Tim worked with PG&E and inspectors along the way and handled everything.
We are extremely happy with his work and would recommend him to anyone needing electrician services.
He also helped us out in our search for a general contractor which we found through Grid. In case you're wondering, we went with Legacy Construction - see my review there.
Thank you Tim and Daniel!
Jennifer K.Very fast turnaround on a request to install a 240v outlet for our 2015 Nissan Leaf. Price was right, and according to my husband who oversaw the install, install was quick. It may sound silly, but I think the new outlet looks really nice in our garage! I like the height and location of where they decided to place it for our car to be charged. The whole process was very efficient and simple. We couldn't be happier, and will use Grid Electric for future electrical needs for sure!
Tim is amazing.
He did a small project at our house - port for EV. Before start Tim gave few great suggestions and made sure it will be in the right location.
Quote was very reasonable and job done pretty fast and neat.
I highly recommend Tim as a great professional.
Elaine K.Tim just finished the panel upgrade, outlet grounding and a few other small upgrade inside. He is a very dedicated electrical contractor and is very responsive. I'm very satisfied with his nice and neat work.
I will definitely be keeping Tim's contact info for future upgrade. I really would recommend Grid Electric & Tim to my friends.
S. E.Wow! Tim and Daniel just finished rewiring 3 bedrooms for me and did a fantastic job! We have had problems with the original aluminum wiring in our house and have been slowing replacing it with copper in phases. Seeing the difference between how Tim has done the rewire and how another electrician has done the same assignment, has been night and day. Tim and Daniel ran the new wires from the panel under the house and down from the attic, compared with the other electrician that just removed sheet rock all the way around the room. The previous electrician (not Grid) left a huge sheet rock mess and it took over a week and a half of additional repairs from another contractor for sheet rock, tape, mud, float, texture and then painting (and more $$$).
Tim's prices were competitive and he returned/answered my phone calls. Tim and Daniel were professional, friendly and seem like nice guys. I usually hate having strangers working in my house, but these two were very easy to work with and seem trustworthy. I am pretty sure they do not smoke (not judging smokers, but we have asthma and are very sensitive to smokers). They carpool, so it was nice not having a lot of extra cars at my house. The work sites were cleaned up every day. Tim gave me pictures of concerns he noted in my attic that the previous electrician did wrong, and not trying to upsell me, he encouraged me to contact the previous electrician to have it resolved.
I will definitely be keeping Tim's contact info for the future and would recommend him to anyone that wants safe (up to code), quality electrical work done.
Geof P.I can understand that ""no job too small"" (some kitchen rewiring) might not be part of the offered services, but having made four unanswered calls over the course of the past week, I don't see how Grid is any different from trying to get the attention of any other busy contractor.
Tim was super helpful and offered a ton of advice to help me upgrade my main breaker panel to 200A. I connected with Tim early in the process and he helped outline the steps needed to work with PGE and the local city inspection office to help get the job done. I opted to handle the permits and PGE assessments and when they were ready, asked Tim to step in with the electrical work. He ran a new ground, took off the old panel, cleaned up a bunch of lines coming from the old panel and consolidated it into a single junction box up to the new panel for a tidy look. He's got great attention to detail and I highly recommend him!
