Richard and his team (Ezra) did a great job of running new lines and installing a new 240v/50A outlet from my main electrical panel to my garage so that I could plug in an SVSE for our EV. He charged a fair and reasonable price.
Given that I have a house built in the 1950s with a lot of ""deferred maintenance"" on my part, there were a few ""bumps in the road"" that arose after the installation. However, Rich was responsive and helped me resolve my issues.
I truly appreciate his responsiveness, especially since I don't know anything about household electrical issues.

For starters, they were 20% lower than the other four companies to give me an estimate, and even included some hardware (security lights) that none of the other companies included - They were great! They were also responsive, with Christine getting back to me consistently and quickly. Paul, the guy who actually came and did the work was on time, knowledgeable, friendly, professional, effective, well organized, and he cleaned up everything after he finished. I couldn't ask for more - their service was outstanding! If I have any problems in the future I'll absolutely have Granite Electric back to do the work. Thank you Paul and Granite Electric!

I appreciated the quick response from Richard re: my project and questions. He acknowledged the work involved, and was upfront with cost. Dave was scheduled to complete the work, and turned out to be great to work with! He was thoughtful and analytical, asking smart questions as we walked through the garage as end users before starting work. (This was refreshingly different from other vendors I had previously met with). He was friendly, professional, and efficient throughout the job.
I absolutely recommend Granite Electric in a heartbeat!

Love these guys. Truly old school customer service, the kind of which is unfortunately dying out.
Called Granite for a quote to replace some halogen can lights with LEDs. Rich was terrific, and asked all the right questions to be able to do a quote via text (versus having to come visit during a pandemic). Rich also estimated for if the work took less effort, or if he encountered more significant issues, to help me manage our budget.
We scheduled the work for a day mutually convenient to both of us (and WFH, I can be flexible on when someone arrives). Rich kept me updated about his planned arrival.
Rich had a mask, gloves, pad, etc. and was willing to work with the doors and windows open (for air flow). He was in and out within an hour, kept to the quote and we now have lovely LED lights which will last for years!

Well here we are again. Extolling the virtues of granite electric. They have never let us down! Yesterday Paul was here to help with a dilemma no handyman could solve. Power off only in 1 room. Fixed Gfci plugs but immediately shorted out as before. Then Paul came from granite. went above to the attic below to the crawl space. Finally installed a new line from box to bypass failing sockets. Wow. Router in: check. Tv. Check. Lamps etc. check. Dishwasher check! Nobody could figure this out! All done with patience, grace and good humor. Great guy excellent work. Thanks as always to Rich, owner of granite electric. Don't waste time! Call this company!!!

I am a landscape contractor and I call Rich any time we have clients that need exterior outlets or lighting done that we can't do. Rich and staff are professional, reasonably priced, and easy to work with. I highly recommend them.

We've been working with Granite Electric for several years and everything they've done has been top notch. They did the electric work on the installation of our central heating/cooling, installed recessed lighting throughout our entire house, installed a bathroom fan, new porch light and doorbell. Everyone that works for Granite is extremely polite, professional and efficient. They respond quickly and do excellent work. I can not recommend them enough.

I called and got an answering machine message on Monday February 5, I left a message asking for a quote to get my heater wired so I could install a smart thermostat. Today is Monday, February, 12, no call back to my inquiry. The least they could have done was to call back. At this point I don't know if my job was too small or if they are on vacation or what...The courtesy of a reply would be helpful. I left my name and number twice on the voice mail. So much for the wonderful reviews I read from Nextdoor. I hope this helps the next person.

Almost don't want to review as I'd like to keep them a secret! Dave came out to help my client with her new home and talked through all the possible options for updating the electrical. He was a wealth of information and we really appreciated his knowledge!

Granite Electric is the best. They helped me - at no cost - to get PG&E to diagnose and repair a major problem with the electrical service to my house. I had them convert my old fuse box to breakers and I also have had them run electrical service to my backyard.
Just recently, I wanted to replace the track lights in my house. Rich reviewed the order prepared by City Lights and pointed out where City Lights had omitted certain necessary parts. Granite then installed the new lights - and, with an old house - that included dealing with a missing junction box and some other 'old house' issues. The bill was extremely reasonable!
