In high school, I studied residential wiring and general automotive repair. In 1992, I earned first place in the Residential Wiring and General Automotive Knowledge contest for the State of Florida, Vocational Industrial Clubs of America (VICA). In 1997, I returned to VICA as a judge for both the electrical and automotive competitions. I maintained an ASE Master Technician Certification in automotive for six years and earned Yamaha Outboard Engines certifications for engines up to 250HP.
I then spent seven years with a petroleum additives company, BG Products Inc. (BG), where I quickly became the seventh highest producer among 1,100 salespeople nationwide. During my time at BG, I underwent training in all petroleum products.

was charged 375 dollars to check a valve clearance on a unit that was already open for an annual service. entire bill was over 800 dollars!

Inspections on installation took multiple times due to incomplete job on both electrical and gas tank installations. It took multiple calls to get someone to come back to the site to fix the issues. The ground where the tank was buried was left incomplete. I wouldn't do any work with this company.

This company is the worst I've encountered in responding to customers in a long time. The service advisors NEVER answer phone calls (my experience). The main office number was notified of a (Generac) generator malfunction during the recent hurricane in Florida and NO ONE RESPONDED to the emergency message left. They come and service your generator with wrong parts that should have been checked prior to the service call. I hate to say this...avoid at all cost not worth the aggravation. In the past I've attempted to reach them at least 3 extensions to NO avail...the standard message on their main office number always tells you the wait for someone to answer is 21 minutes, after that time frame it disconnects...SAD!!

This company is unbelievable. They were extremely pleasant while selling me the whole house generator. The first yearly service was free and due to a referral, the second yearly service was supposed to also be free. HOWEVER, I came to learn the installed battery was subpar. It had to be replaced before two years and of course they up-charged for a ""better"" battery with a longer warranty. THEN THEY CHARGED $100 TO INSTALL THE NEW BATTERY-when battery service was supposed to be included. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO REACH A HUMAN WHEN YOU CALL and they are rude and arrogant when you finally reach someone. That service would have been over $600. RUN, DON'T WALK AWAY FROM GENERX...find someone else with more integrity and professionalism.

They call me every day with a recorded message telling me that it is time for the annual servicing of my generator. Only problem is I don't have a generator so why would I have your company providing no value to me??? When I connect through to their human they don't know anything about this marketing scam and can't remove me from their list, so I will get another call tomorrow, and so it goes over and over and over...

We waited 10 months for installation. The enclosure they built does not drain well and they never returned to install the door. No one answers the phone and they do not return your call when you leave a message. I am currently looking for a new company to do maintenance as I would never sign a service contract with them. I have filed a formal complaint with Generac about their poor customer service.

I think they are too big for their own good

after the last service in June we start having issues
they came out and fixed it

called and scheduled for them to come in 30 days(had no avail before)
they called 2 days before asking for payment and trying to say i never schedule an appointment

In June 2022, my husband was diagnosed with a pulmonary embolism as a result of cancer. He became oxygen dependent. Trying to get a generator installed required jumping through hoops. Rob Ahlers, Sales Manager, saved the day, for which I'm very grateful. Our generator was installed in September 2022, the peak of hurricane season.
I had the preventive maintenance (PM) service done in September 2023. In mid-October, 2024, the PM reminder light came on. I called on October 29 to schedule the PM and was told I would be contacted within 72 hours to schedule PM. No one contacted me. November 5, I used their website contact form to request a PM. Today is November 11 and still no contact. VERY FRUSTRATING! GenerX is a huge company and apparently can't handle their volume. Look someplace else. The Warranty isn't worth the paper it's written on if you can schedule a PM in order to maintain the warranty!!!!! I'm furious!

They are great at selling. Terrible with service. Ghosted me for several days after they took my money.

Hurricane Milton was the problem. Lenny and his team was the solution.
Considering gasoline supply issues and parts issues , they came to my home and fixed my Home generator promptly and professionally.
I could not be happier with this company, when I needed them they responded, despite the many obstacles that Milton created.
