While in high school, I attended classes on residential wiring and general automotive repair. I was awarded first place in the Residential Wiring and General Automotive Knowledge contest for Florida in 1992, organized by the Vocational Industrial Clubs of America (VICA). In 1997, I returned to VICA as a judge for both the electrical and automotive competitions. I maintained an ASE Master Technician Certification in automotive for six years and earned Yamaha Outboard Engines certifications for engines up to 250HP.
I subsequently worked for seven years at BG Products Inc. (BG), a petroleum additives firm, where I quickly ranked as the seventh highest producer among 1,100 salespeople nationwide. While at BG, I was trained in all aspects of petroleum products.

I was glad to have the generator for the recent storms that went through Florida. Appreciative of the support.

Generator installation went well. In the 4 years we've had it, we've needed 2 service calls including electrical and battery.
I'm especially disappointed in their administrative office which cannot seem to account for their billing. I've requested the detailed invoice, left about 7 messages and haven't heard anything.

I called for generator service on my Generac and was told by the girl on the phone there was a cancelation and they would possibly be able to get me in within a few days, but she had to check with her manager. Then the manager got on the phone and said they would charge me the emergency rate for the appointment that had been cancelled by someone else. I said it was not an emergency and I was booked for a later appointment.
On the day of my appointment, Dave showed up and looked at my generator. I was nice enough to take the cover off in order to save him time. He turned off the power to my house that is hooked in through the generator while trouble shooting. Then, without saying anything, he just left. It was around noon time, so I figured he was just going to lunch. When he didn't show back up after some time, I called him and asked him where he was. He said he was done and would email me the invoice. He left the cover off the generator and left the power off to the house at the breaker panel. He told me the part the generator needed and that it would take some time to get the part since it was not in stock at their warehouse. I told him I would look to see if I could find one and to hold off. This was done via text message to him. He called me about a week later and told me he was on the way to my house to install the new part, to which I reminded him and referred to the text message I had sent, that I had ordered the part. He had not made any previous appointment with me to install the new part.
I was able to order the new part, to which I likely saved a 20% markup, but I also was able to get a 10% veteran's discount by ordering the part myself through Generac. I also installed the part and it did not solve my problem.

I have 80 year old parents who pay the service fees yearly for their generator only to be lied to by their people namely (Mark in Tampa) to me and my mother multiple times. It's shameful. Also, when you try to call them to get support you only get answering services that send you links to purchase from them.

I cannot even give them 1 star. WE were promised the world before and during installation, last June. Now in March, the generator failed during a power outage. Everyone else had power in 3 hrs, I did not for 2 days because of an issue with the generator. THERE IS NO ONE TO SPEAK TO ON THE PHONE. You must fill out a service ticket and they may come by in the next 3 days! Furthermore, they show up, ordered parts and never updated or told me anything. Almost a week later and no communication whatsoever. If we wanted emergency service it would cost almost $300.00 They dont belong to BBB. Stay away from this company and use a reputable installer. Please check all reviews before living thru my nightmare.

This company show up when they say they will with the most professional and wonderful crew. Everyone we dealt with couldn't have been more helpful
They spent time answering any questions and teaching us to use our new generator. Highly recommend

Horrible Service. This is Not a consumer friendly company. Buyer Beware. Do your homework or you will regret your put. My New Generator didn't work during Hurricane Ian and getting it repaired and dealing with this company administrative staff was a bigger nightmare. There's a reason they use Mae West quote "" Flattery will get everywhere .""Nastiness will get you nowhere. It's because they have many angry customers and they chose to find excuses call their customers nasty and do little to remedy the problem.
They don' belong to BBB. And, it's no wonder why!

I had the pleasure of working with Brenden and Patrick today in Palm Beach County FL. They were truly professional, courteous and efficient while installing all of the electrical hookup for my generator. They took the time to answer all of my questions, help me set up my app and show me all the ins and outs of the generator. I truly would recommend this company and especially these employees specifically to anyone!

In the last 4 years, I have purchased 2 home standby generators from Generx and responsible for at least 4 more installs. I thought they were a good company until now.
They give you a customer-only service phone number. I guess this is supposed to make you feel special. All good until you try to use it. I have left 3 phone messages this past week of 3/27 and 1 message with Janet in regular customer service. She assured me someone would get back to me that day 3/29/23. No one from customer NO Service has bothered to call me back.
There are many Generx customers in this community. Hearing similar feedback from neighbors.
Today 3/30/23 I left a message for someone in management to call me. Will See.
