Yevgeny is a real electrician. In late April 2016, in our SF apartment, he squeezed us in to his busy schedule to add a 240V circuit and appropriate appliance cable/plug -- they had been installed incorrectly by a previous subcontractor who worked as an electrician, but not very well. We thought we were going to buy a new appliance because of the original tradesman's error.

Yevgeny made sense, he came when he said he would, analyzed the situation quickly and proposed a realistic solution. He worked efficiently, tested his work and the price was reasonable. [We also avoided buying a new appliance] Kudos all the way around

I had to replace a section of water pipe that was leaking due to corrosion. We didn't know where the leak started so drywall and ceiling were removed by a mitigation team in the morning. Once we saw the leak, I called generalsf based on their Yelp reviews. They were the only one that could make it out the same day. Service was excellent. Yevgeny took extra time explaining the process behind the corrosion and also took time to show me the other critical areas of our house including electrical. When a plumber knows what he is doing and friendly, he could save your day! My house was leaking from upstairs to downstairs so badly. And I was out of town, my in laws were there, but they could not find the leaking origin.

I searched Yelp and found so many good reviews about Yevgeny and General SF. When I called around 5:00pm, which was the closing time, I was wondering if he can come and help. To my surprise, Yevgeny answered my call for help immediately and arrived at my house in 15 mins!!!!

Yevgeny is so professional and so knowledgable, and identified the leaking spot right away. You can tell that he is so knowledgable that he went through the whole process with my in laws and pointed out all the safety concerns. By only touching the dry wall, he knew where already got moisted and need to be replaced. He gave us so many good advices and did not charge us for them. More importantly, he is so friendly and so easy to talk with. We like Yevgeny and his work so much!! I hope I would not have any more leaking/plumber problem in my house, but I know who to call next time!

Yevgeny came to our apartment on a Sunday afternoon to unclog a shower, which he did expediently and professionally. Since it was a Sunday call and we had paid for an hour's worth of work, he offered to help out us and fix other nagging plumbing and electrical issues in our apartment. He fixed our bathroom sink, diagnosed a dimmer switch problem and took a look at the state of our pipes and gave us an honest assessment of future work. He didn't have to do this. He could have packed up his things and gotten home early. Instead, he stayed the full hour and helped us tremendously. He was professional, courteous and honest. We will use him again for any of our plumbing and electrical needs.

Our water heater broke 2 weeks ago, only after 4 years plus! Frantically looking for a plumber, I came across General SF. He was so kind. He called back to ask if everything was ok. He helped me to turn off the water and gas. He walked me through making sure we were ok. And he was not pushy at all either, he was just genuinely concerned. He even offered to come late at night. I had power go out in only a couple rooms of the house, and after checking that the hadn't been tripped, check online to see what was going on. I couldn't find exactly what it was, so I called Yevgeny at General SF. He was able to make time for to stop by the day that I called. Upon arriving, he made a quick diagnosis, and it required just a quick fix with the GFI's. Since it was such a quick fix, he was very generous and gave me a very prorated rate.

Not only did it make my day to have such an honest electrician, but the convenience with which he was able to swing by and the efficiency with which he fixed our issue was great. I will be calling Yevgeny at General SF for any future electrical problems, and I highly recommend that you do the same!

Yevgeny was a pleasure to work with. He was quick, honest, knowledgeable, and very thorough. When my kitchen sink flooded the cabinet beneath, I was at a loss - especially with 2 young children in the house. To make matters worse, I was 2 weeks post abdominal surgery, so, I was barely able to move. He came to the rescue in a short period of time, assessed the problem, and left to pick up the parts needed. When all was done, I was shocked at how reasonable he was in price. He took some photos at angles I couldn't reach, and showed me the problems, as well as the solution. I would highly recommend!
