Devon responded to my residence for an electrical issue. He found the problem relatively quickly after troubleshooting. The entire repair took less than an hour and a half. He was very professional and friendly. He took the time to answer my questions and offer suggestions and advice. I felt the cost was very fair as well. He is licensed, experienced and insured. I would highly recommend Fehn Electric.

Very professional personality, attire, and experience! Very prepared for the job, has a shiny new van full of all the bells and whistles for the job. Very honest and straight forward, which is always the best thing one could ask for when hiring someone. At first I was skeptical (naturally), as I had been fishing around for a CERTIFIED electrician & kind of just chose this guy because the website was very professional...and it was the best decision ever! Certainly my go to electrician from here on out.

My electrical issue:
I had a three way circuit controlling my kitchen lighting and I, mistakenly, switched the power switch to a dimmer without realizing that dimmers are only for LED lights. So, my florescent kitchen lights ""burned out"" (they left brown stains on my walls and literally smelled burned) and was without kitchen light for...well, that's besides the point. Devon (the owner and main electrician for Fehn Electric) did a lot of trouble shooting to the light fixture itself bc the wiring was weird to begin with (two separate switches turned on the same two lights rather than one switch per light). This particular switch issue couldn't be fixed (he REALLY tried, but the wiring could not be accessed due to the infrastructure of where the switches were). Ultimately, he found the source of the problem to be the burned out florescent lights due to my millennial mistake of DIYing with electricity (don't play with wires, kids). Anyway, he fixed the issue, removed the old fixture, and I actually intend to set up a second appointment now that I have actually bought a new (LED) fixture so he can put in on. AND since he was so awesome, i had him install new outdoor lighting fixtures for me and they look great! SUPER happy with his work. And as I said, I'll continue to be a repeat costumer and HIGHLY recommend him!...AND he guarantees his work! Trust me, he is very honest and transparent. His method of payment are very secure and he'll send you an invoice via email after the jobs all done. HIGHLY recommend him, you'll be glad you hired him!!

If I can give Fehn Electric 10 Stars, I would.
I bought a 1100sq ft house built in 1962.
I knew the electric was original throughout the house with a few hacks along the way.
I was remodeling the kitchen and bathrooms and the panel needed an upgrade and the kitchen needed a total rewire to handle the modern appliances. Built in microwave, garbage disposal, dishwasher, etc, etc.
I also wanted switched electric in all the bedroom's ceilings, living room, entry hall.
Devon was my second estimate. I called him on a Monday. He was there on Wednesday morning to discuss my needs and had a complete bid by Friday morning.
The great thing about Devon was his Superior Customer Service.
He did not try to up sell me on a panel that was more than i needed for a small house and his bid to do all the interior upgrades were less than the first bid.
He was there the following Monday ready to go.
He communicates very well and was a true professional.
A few minor things he found along the way were handled with no problems or extra charges.
He worked fast and his work was clean.

Do yourself a favor. If you are going to have electrical work done and get 2 or 3 bids, MAKE SURE Fehn Electric is one of them! You will be HAPPY.
I assure you, any future electrical work I have done at this house or any other houses will be done by Fehn Electric.

Devon offers courteous and prompt services, which is very much appreciated. However, his service is overpriced.

I was charged for two separate visits within a 3 week period totaling over $400 including $49 truck dispatch fee, just to get a simple electrical outlet problem fixed in a condo. The repair work was neither extensive nor ""numerous"", other than replacing loose outlets or faulty GFCI switches.

The condo is located in the Northgate Village next to Northridge Mall in Salinas. It was originally built in 1984 and remodeled in 2009.

In my opinion, his service is overpriced and very expensive.

You are truly 1 in a million!! Thank you for taking care of my mom and her electrical issue! Devon was patient with my mom and explained to her what needed to be done. My mom had 1 other electrician come in for an estimate and he started looking at he front of the house at the water pipes?!? With that said We are Lucky to find Devon and his Yelp reviews!! Devon was there when he said he was going to be there, got the job done Above and Beyond we expected and in Fast timing too!! Quality and service at a fair price!
We lost our trusted electrician some years ago and have only recently needed some work done. Devon was a referral from another electrician in the business who was booked for months. I called Devon who listened to my needs, emailed me a quote, and arrived to our house within 48 hours. He arrived early and was quick to resolve our issues. The great thing about Devon is he clearly explains what he is doing and demonstrated great patience while I watched and asked questions. Here is the most important part - while doing the work I requested, he found some truly serious safety issues and took care of them immediately. I actually saw burn marks and sparking so it was not like he intended to price gouge us like some car repairman might do - he truly had our safety in mind and did the work to our complete satisfaction. We will request Devon in the future and will seriously put him on our short list of those we will contact when we start our remodel in the coming months. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
