From the very first phone call with Jerry we could tell what a fantastic person he is. When he arrived at our home to give us an estimate the first thing I noticed was his freshly starched white shirt and his warm, open smile. His company had been highly recommended to us.

Family Air replaced our 25 year old A/C and furnace as well as replacing our 47 year old duct work. The first day four men arrived about 7:45 a.m. to begin their work. They were courteous, clean, professional and knew what they were doing. It was a pleasure having them work in our home. They laid down drop clothes anywhere they might be walking. The inside team was led by Curtis with Dylan and Hector doing the duct work. I didn't get the name of the man who installed the compressor.

They were able to do the complete job in two days. They even made a new ""door"" to get into the attic since ours had been broken in half for years. They did that as a kindness. Everything passed inspection without any problems.

Super happy we called this company. Curtis did a fantastic job and he is a very nice guy. I would definitely recommend them to everyone, you won't be disappointed. We had our heater repaired and will be calling them late spring to do regular maintenance on the air so we are ready for summer....

During a heat wave here in West Hills our air conditioner broke and died. Family Air did everything they could to fit us into their schedule. Their service people, Hector and Curtis, were beyond professional and very nice. They completed a huge job 2 1/2 hours early. Even though Family Air is in Simi Valley, they will come out to surrounding areas, including the San Fernando Valley. Again, the service guys were top-notch. We would highly recommend them.

The guys at Family Air Conditioning and Heating are amazing!
After a lot of research and quite a few bids, I chose Jerry and his crew to do the job. He gave me what I think is a great price for a new AC and furnace install. I like supporting great local companies and a friend of mine had used them previously and recommended them to me as well.
Jerry walked me through all the options of a new install, and I was comfortable asking all the questions I wanted to ask, and felt that Jerry was very patient and thorough with me, and answered my numerous questions.
His crew that came to do the install were polite, clean and did an amazing job installing our new system. Thank you Curtis, Dylan, Hector and Lee for all the hard work you guys did on the install!
Definitely recommend this company, as they are honest, professional and do great work.

No need to look anywhere else. I've used family air 3 times now in the past two years and each time I am pleasently reminded why I've gone back. There is a good reason why they are in such demand. The most accurate description of their business can be summed up in one word, which coincidentally is in their name, and that word is ""Family."" They've always been there for us, even going above and beyond to take care of my family. I trust them, delivering expert advice about our system and how to maintain it. I've never been over sold or under appreciated as a customer. I support this local business and everything they stand for. As a firefighter, i'm not always home with my family. Its very assuring knowing that if something goes wrong while i'm away, I know who I can count on to take care of my family and home. I must also applaud them for their impeccable efficiency due to their record keeping. They took a complete inventory of my equipment, with photos and documentation. What that means is when i'm away and my wife calls them up, she doesn't have to sit and explain what type of system we have. They know, and they come prepared, sending a professional who is a certified technician on my equipment. Don't know what else I can say, their the best, and i'm so happy to have found them. Thank you ""Family Air!"" Keep it up!

I needed a new furnace and A/C. I called several places and for various reasons I felt a lack of interest and inflated prices. Then I called FamilyAir. Gerry came to the house to look at the job. I learned he has a Bachelors Degree from UCLA in his chosen field. We discussed my options and prices for the job. I agreed to have him do it. Gerry and his crew were prompt, professional and far above average. Their work exceeded my expectations! I've since had occasion to need additional service from him and it was done within 24 hours. I referred Gerry to a very selective friend who had other people to her home for an unidentified related problem. All they did was take her money and not resolve the problem. She called Gerry and he identified the trouble and made the necessary repairs. The problem was solved. She was completely happy. FamilyAir is family owned and there's none better for their line of work!

Family Air really saved the day for us. About one week after we moved in to our first home, we noticed the AC was not doing its job of keeping us cool in the hot August weather. We called Family Air to come do a tune up, and they gave us the bad news that the whole unit was rusted from years of neglect, and was draining below our house causing potentially serious problems! This didn't come up at all in our home inspection! Naturally, we wanted to get a second opinion, however not only was their competitor much more expensive, but this rival employee even TOLD US that Family Air was the best around for home installations. Once we agreed to the repairs with Family Air, the whole installation process was a breeze and we got a great furnace and AC system from them. As if that wasn't enough praise - when the city inspector came by they complimented the good installation job, and speculated that it must have been a Family Air job. Sounds to me like most of the professionals in the area recognize that Family Air is the best, so I will definitely be returning to them for any and all future repairs!!

We worked with this company for over a decade.. we gave them tens of thousands of dollars in business. When one of the units they sold to us stopped working in December, they couldn't come until first week of January - so we froze our butts off and waited & waited. When they finally arrived, the technician ""thought"" he had the unit working, but just 2 hours later, it was blowing out cold air. We called for them to come back out, and the owner said ""sorry, you're too far away for us to take care of anymore"". I asked him to at least honor the job we waited weeks for them to do and he said ""no - sorry, you'll have to find someone else"". So much ""caring about customers"" or ""standing behind your work"". Family Air does not treat customers like family. Very unfortunate.

I needed a new outside unit and I received a few estimates from some local contractors. My sister had some work done by Family Air and recommended I call them for a quote. They gave me a quote 1000.00 cheaper than the quotes I was receiving and they gave me a higher grade Carrier unit. The guys that installed my unit were very professional. They made sure they did not track any dirt inside my house while changing the coil in the attic. They were here most of the day installing my unit. I love my new unit. It keeps my older house very cool and is much quieter than my old unit plus I will be saving energy costs. I have already seen the reduction in my energy bills from last year.

Family Air came highly recommended by one of my co-workers. I was a very foolish homeowner by not EVER having the furnace and compressor checked in the 19 years since the home was built. So suffice to say when I came up our front walk and saw water leaking from a crack in the stucco, I knew I had a big problem. For the sake of brevity, he showed me the coil, corroded all the way through, and the heat transfer bars on the furnace, corroded with cracks (great source of carbon monoxide if using the heat). Blessing in disguise to discover that now. Jerry worked out some options for the repair. I chose to have not only the furnace and coil replaced, but the compressor as well. All I can say is those technicians ""really know their stuff"" Hector even got up in the attic to check the duct work and insulation. BOTH the HERS and city inspectors said it is ALWAYS a pleasure to examine their work because it is ALWAYS done VERY meticulously! Now, on the hottest days in the afternoon, if the thermostat is set at 74, the system will maintain that with no problem at all! The furnace closet is in the upstairs hallway and is MUCH QUIETER than the old one. They even completed all the registration documents and forwarded them to the Carrier Corporation for us; we didn't have to do anything!

Moral to the story: As homeowners, we always cringe when he have something done to our home wondering what might happen. Take it from me, be good to yourselves by calling Family Air. The values and integrity they're built their business on is short supply nowadays. And their name ""Family Air Conditioning and Heating"" is very fitting because they do treat you like family!

P.S. If I didn't take the advice of the furnace contractor of our home builder (saying the only owner serviceable item in the system was the filter), that furnace well might have lasted longer than 19 years! Have it checked once a year!
