Newly remodeled kitchen's outlets stopped working. EES came back with quotes of $2800 and $3500 to investigate and fix. Had to eat the $89 consulting fee. Terrible value.

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY! They took advantage on a Sunday due to ""no power"" the tech quoted $1410.00 + trip fee of $195.00 to replace the main breaker .. she was home alone with small children and could not be without electricity.
Asked for a discount, They easily gave 20% off
Then took 10 min to install new breaker. Only after install did they provide written estimate.
1. Not even sure the part was new.
2. Estimate included one part that is $72.00 at Lowes. Less than 10 min install. Sent pic only after part removed.
3. After telling them they are a total ripoff, they then lowered price to $928.00 and no trip charge.
4. Their ""estimate"" was sent to me only AFTER work was done.
5. 12x cost of part for 10 min install is unscrupulous!

We tried to set an appointment today with this company, and then they called me 20 minutes later saying they can't come to our office because ""the owner of the company isn't on site."" Um, our CEO is based in another country....

Also, why would you set an appointment for an electrician (and they knew the information already!) just to call back and cancel?

Really wish I had looked at Yelp instead of just Google before trying to use Express Electrical to change out two electrical boxes. They wouldn't give me any kind of a price estimate for changing outlet boxes over the phone, and now I know why. Their quote was literally many hundreds of dollars more than we've paid or been quoted for the same work in the past. What would have been a $100 job with our usual general contractor or another electrician we have worked with before, Express quoted over $700. Crazy!!

SCAM ALERT. I own many rental units in the South Bay. I'm also a real estate developer and hold a contractors B- License. One of my tenants reported a partial power outage. It was after hours so I decided not to contact my regular pool of electricians and gave this company a call. Within 5 minutes of the guy showing up there were red flags everywhere. Before even doing an actual diagnosis of the issue he wrote up a very strange ""three option"" proposal which included all kinds of un needed work not related to the issue at hand. Prices ranging from $1500-8000! I've never seen anything like this in all my years in the construction business.

I then told him a about my technical background and asked that he walk me through these ""repair options"" in more detail. This must have scared him off because he quickly asked for the proposal back and locked it up in his truck, never to be seen from again. The worst part is I had to pay a service fee for them to attempt to scam me.

Had another electrician out after this crazy experience. 30 minutes and $150 later. Problem Fixed.

From someone who deals with sub contractors on a daily basis this is not how electrical repair work is done. What this company is doing is highly unethical and predatory. Please don't get caught in this scam!!

Stay away from calling this company! Very quick to respond for service BUT once they come out beware! They provided me with five options for repairs. Prices started off at $3800 to $12k. I called another electrician, and got the problem fixed for just over $100. I truly can't believe this company is still in business!

Carlos Gonzales has helped me install a bathroom dimmer, trouble shooted my electrical panel, inspected my kitchen fan, installed a bathroom fan and switch. He's been to my condo three times and performed excellent service each time. Our building was built in the 1950s which has challenging electrical history but Carlos has always been knowledgeable and prepared to complete each task thoroughly. He is patient, respectful, explains his diagnosis clearly and has earned my trust. Thank you, Carlos!

This company is an absolute rip off I'm not talking a few dollars here they will screw you for thousands no exaggeration steer well clear yes they will fix your problem but you will pay thousands not hundreds over the true cost

Came out and gave me a RIDICULOUS quote to install an outlet on the other side of the a wall with an outlet there already. Quote was nearly 3x what the next place I called gave me. Had to pay them a service fee to come out as I refused to accept the quote when they got here. Total rip off. you have been warned.

Update: They credited me back my service fee to have them come out and give me a quote so I cant fault them for that.

After several conversations with Hope and Yessenia at Express Electrical Services they offered me a full refund of $1,630 for the installation of two ceiling fans. I am very appreciative and was totally surprised at their offer and gladly accepted. I feel confident that they truly care for their customers and value their opinions and feelings. Our electrition, Jesse and his apprentice Nick are fine representatives of Express and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
