We needed electricity run for two ceiling fans in our home. They came out and quoted us between $2,000 - $3,000. Seems extremely overpriced. Also I don't understand why we were given 3 pricing options. should be one price for it to be done correctly. I found a receipt for a company I used a few years ago to install fans in two other rooms of our house. They charged us $390.00. I will be giving them a call.

I called because I was told by Edison that I needed to have my main breaker replaced, I asked specifically for that service. My first quote was for $11,000 to replace the entire box, my second option was to replace all the breakers for $4000.00. The cost of the breaker at Home Depot was about $200.00. My neighbor who is a contractor looked at it and said the problem was the screws were loose. He tightened all the connections and the problem of flickering lights went away. I would not recommend this service unless you were so desperate that you were willing to pay 5 to 10 times the going rate to have it repaired.

I called for a simple estimate to install a new porch fixture. I did not want to provide my address until I received a ball park cost estimate. The lady on the phone hung up in my face when I would not provide my address first. I called back to ask her name, and the second woman who answered claimed she couldn't tell me the name of the individual who hung up on me. Pretty sad. Now I believe all the 1 star reviews below. Moving on to the next electrician.

DO NOT use Express Electrical. They employ the dishonest and predatory practices that sully the reputations of so many in the service industry.
I had called because a Switch in my house was emitting a buzzing sound and smelled like it was burning. Their electrician arrived the following morning, and instead of looking at the burned breaker in question, he proceeded to go to the fuse box and recommended changing the whole panel despite the fact that I explicitly told him we were not experiencing any other issues. His initial quote was a preposterous $6,000, and when it became clear that wasn't going to happen, he quoted $1500 to replace the burned switch and install a new dimmer, and claimed it would take him 4 hours to complete. Fortunately, I had the good sense to get a second opinion, and another local electrician took care of the entire issue for practically nothing and in under 15 minutes.
Avoid this place at all costs, unless you enjoy being taken to the woodshed by a wolf in electrician's clothing.
RESPONSE TO OWNER COMMENT:
First, I called at 5pm on a Friday, and did note that it was an emergency. I wanted to mitigate any risk of an electrical fire. After being told I would be contacted in half an hour with the details of my service (electrician name, ETA, ETC.), I was instead called an hour later and told that no one would be available until the following morning, 15 hours after my emergency call. So much for 24 hour service.
Secondly, the assertion that your preposterous pricing and inefficient turn times are somehow a testament to the value you offer customers is, at once, absurd and insulting. It's not as if I picked up a screw driver-wielding vagrant from some putrid back alley and brought him to my home to perform electrical work. The company was locally owned, reputable, and offered the same peace of mind regarding safety and insurance. The primary distinction between that business and Express Electrical isn't safety standards and community service, but rather that their modus operandi appears to include some semblance of a conscience, whereas Express operates with a level of conscience commensurate with a cold, hard cash register.

THIS POST WAS FLAGGED AND REMOVED BY YELP, I DONT KNOW WHY, BUT I AM REPOSTING IT, BECAUSE IT WAS A TRUE EXPERIENCE OF MINE. Don't even call them. My power is completely out, I Called for emergency service, they said they will dispatch someone the same day. They called an hour later stating the price is going to be 350 instead of 200. Which I said ok. Then they stated they don't have anybody till Tuesday. When I told them I'm gonna put a bad review, they said someone will come Saturday fir half off price. Very unethical and irresponsible service. Wasted 5 hours waiting for them to say can't do it. As opposed to calling others.

Amaz8ng And REASONABLY PRICED, Prompt, curious, came Masked and Ready to work was done in 30 mins. VERY POLITE, explained what he was doing. ROBERT DURAN was my Electrician, if you need work done CALL EXPRESS ELECTRICAL SERVICES , you won't be Sorry. Tell them Kim sent you they are now our GO TO ELECTICIAL SERVICES. THANKS again Robert Duran!

The dispatcher (Cynthia) arranged for my condo to be serviced on a Saturday morning, I was very grateful. I called the morning of service to confirm when they would be there and was told nobody was coming...their insurance only covers 2 story buildings. Mine is 7. I would have been ok with that if I had been told this last night. Thanks to her negligence I'm scrambling on a holiday weekend. Thanks Express Electrical.

Great service! I called the day after Thanksgiving after losing power to half my house. Not only did they answer the phone (something the other three electricians I called didn't do), they had an electrician (JR) to my house within a few hours.
After a few tests at my electrical panel, JR figured out the problem was most likely from SCE's feed to the house. As he was packing up his tools, JR took a little extra time (and effort) and found a wire had come loose where the power line feeds to the house. He directed me to call SCE and gave me the proper verbiage to get them out to my house immediately.
I am very happy with the service Express Electrical provided. They were friendly, helpful and efficient.

Extremely disappointed!!! I was given a scheduled window between 11am-2pm. The technician showed up at 3:50pm (after I kept calling for updates). I needed 5 ceiling fans installed and a dozen outlets switched out for new parts. I was quoted over $$$ 7,000. REALLY??? This felt like a sick joke! How do you stay in business. Do not WASTE your time booking an appointment with this company.

BE WARNED!!! These people are crooks! Think they feel they have you in a vulnerable position if you want or need work done 'right away' because they advertise that they will show up in a few hours. I needed a new outlet for a new appliance. The service person went to his truck for quite a long time came back and quoted me a price close to $600. I told him that was ridiculous, Figured I could wait to get it done more reasonably; which I did for $100. The job was completed in 45 minutes!!!
