Hired to repair my electrical outlets and door bell. Charged almost $700.00 and nothing is repaired. Repairman blamed it on everything else and still don't have use of my ring doorbell or my outlets. I am furious!!

I initially contacted Excel Electrical because I was having problems with two of my ceiling fans. I thought I would only need two new wall units (which I already purchased).

I called Excel because it was one of three Angie's List recommended, and Karen - the office manager - said a technician would be out the next day. Even though Excel was the third Electrician I called, Victor was here the next day. I showed him the two problem switches/fans and then showed him my other fans (I have one in each room & 2 in the kitchen).

The first wall switch he removed had suffered a short. He showed me the 'Flash Point' before removing the ceiling fan. He discovered that the fan had been wired improperly, and give me my acceptable options that conformed to FL code.

I had to order the switches and adapter for inside the ceiling wiring (which Amazon was able to deliver in 2-days). So by the end of the week, the fans were working perfectly.

When victor got to inspecting my bedroom fans, both had burned out the wall switches and the lights. That night I picked up two 3-blade fans. Three days later, I had all eight fans working perfectly.

Florida Power & Light has been bombarding me with ads for a whole house surge suppressor. I had done some research and Victor showed me their 'top of the line suppressor. With the monthly charge that FPL would charge me each & every month, the suppressor Excel would install would pay for itself after 15-months.

Needless to say, I found Excel Electrical to be excellent electricians. Their service is impeccable, their prices are competitive, and their work is thorough for the services they were hired to perform. I can't recommend Excel Electrical strongly enough!

From the initial call to schedule an appointment to the electrician, very pleasant staff and efficient.
George from Excel called and said he'd be arriving within 30 minutes. Came earlier. Fixed our problem quickly and cleaned up the mess. Very pleasant gentleman. He made recommendations for installation of additional smoke alarms to bring us up to the current codes.

Definitely would use this business again.

I recently needed some electrical work done on my home. I had heard many great things about Excel Electric. So I decided to see for myself. After meeting Bob and his team I felt very comfortable. They are very knowledgeable and explained everything in detail about what they will need to do to complete the job. They were very professional, polite, and provided excellent customer service. Their pricing was also right.
The work they performed in my house was exceptional and when they left, you didn't even know they were there. No mess.

We had Excel Electrical do various projects at our home. We are very satisfied with the job they did and we thought the cost for the work was reasonable too.....Tony came to do the estimate and was very knowledgable, confident and very nice person.....He answered all our questions and was very patient. Estimate was written up in detail and sent to us via email in timely manner. The gal at the office answering calls was very pleasant, knowledgable quick to setup an appointment and also scheduling the work. Tony, JP and Jeremy came out and worked on our projects. He went over my options, explained everything in detail and made suggestions as to how could save $ on the job. I was able to schedule the work right away and close on the house without delay. I just bought a condo and the inspection revealed numerous electrical issues that needed to be addressed immediately. Excel electric did a fantastic job for a very fair price. The quality of the work was outstanding. First, setting up the service was very easy and they kept in touch with me with reminders and follow-up throughout the process. When they came out to do the work they were on-time, very neat/clean, extremely respectful and professional, and very thorough in making sure that all of the repairs were properly and accurately made. I can now sleep easy in my new condo- no more electrical fire hazards thanks to Excel. I would definitely recommend this company and will be using them for all of my electrical needs. We called Excel because of positive reviews we had seen. After Irma passed, 2 GFIs kept tripping. In addition our post and landscape lighting was not working. By the time the tech left, he had gotten the GFIs working (it was actually simple we should have tried) and said the post and landscape needed rewire. They would send an estimate. Paid him $325 and he was on his way. That night, the outdoor lights went on! A few days later we received an estimate for $2,200. We really got the feeling this young guy didn't 100% know what he was doing.
The good: they were courteous and on time. The bad: inexperience.
I would probably call Excel again but I would ask for a different tech.
