Requested quote thru Yelp, got response right away in which HE ACTUALLY DISPLAYED THE COST (most every time I request a quote on Yelp, they just reply ""Call Us Now!"" instead of providing a quote..)

Then I replied I'd like to set appt, and again he promptly replied with a 1-hr window when he could be at my house.

He showed up on time, got everything done without any sneaky extra charges, and he was very knowledgeable on electrical code questions I asked.

Alex's work is okay, done to specification. Two issues, one is blowouts from the drill. What ever drill bits they use, it's not for wood, causing significant blowout at every new hole they drilled. Another is that the communication was really bad. He texted one day that he's coming to take a look. Didn't reply to my message asking when. His crew showed up to inspect and started the job right then and there. I was not prepared and had meetings that day. There should be better scheduling. He also promised a proposal letter which I never got.

The are extremely competent with no mistakes made even once, very courteous and considerate, 100% covid safe, and very reasonable prices for the work done. Alex and his crew were very efficient with the work they did upgrading my panel from 100A to 200A, despite PG&E being absolutely horrible to deal with. PG&E delayed the project by a couple of months, but once their approval was received, Alex got to work.

I am giving Eminent 5 stars because they did professional work. The work was so great that I overheard the city inspector complimenting Alex on his work and how it is always so clean and professional.

Alex did relatively well on communication, though there were some delays at some points. He did, however, try to deal with the PG&E issue along with me, which was appreciated. He even provided me with some supporting items to provide to PG&E, though that did not do too much.

Pricing was market value, if not a little lower.

That being said, I do have a couple of items that I hope Alex can keep in mind for future work.

Some remnants of their work were left behind for me to clean up, such as part of the roofing, side panels, screws and wiring. As I had to go underneath the house to work on our sump pumps, I noticed a lot of old stripped wires left in the sump pump holes and all around. Same with the work area around the old panel and the new panel.

Note for anyone with a foam roof. If you are doing the same type of work, they will likely need to cut into the roof, which can only be resealed with foam. They did ""seal"" the new pole (can't recall the correct term for it) at the roof, but not very well. In fact, they did not seal it all the way around, even though the section that had no sealant was on the downslope.

You will need to have that resealed by a foam company. I did not realize in my head that this would be done, but that is an error on my part.

Overall, I would contact Alex again and definitely recommend him for work.

Eminent electrical and Alex were very professional and easy to work with. We had a fairly complex project that required going from underground service to overhead, upgrading the panel, relocating a gas pipe and installing an EV charger. This required working with PG&E over the course of over a year. Alex and his team completed the work on time and where patient during the whole process. They pulled permits for the work and worked closely with PG&E throughout the project. The entire process took about a year because PG&E was very slow but the end result was excellent. Other electricians didn't want to take the job or quoted ridiculous prices because of the length of the project.

Another advantage of eminent electrical is that they have both electrical license and general contractor license. This enabled them to do all the work including removing a gas pipe as required by PG&E. Other electricians would require us to find a plumber ourselves.

Alex installed an EV wall charger in my garage. The garage had a conduit from the circuit breaker panel to a wall plate installed by the builder. Alex installed a high amperage breaker and wiring to the wall plate and installed the charger. Charger works great (44 miles/hr), Alex was very responsive, followed covid protocols, and reasonably priced.

Alex responded to our request for a quote on panel upgrade quickly, and he came to check out our old panel right away (he actually came one day early, but fortunately we were at home at that time). He thoroughly explained to us the process. He and his crew came to work on time, and they were able to finish the upgrade in 2 days. We are working from home now, and they keep the disruption (electricity cut off) to a minimum. I was able to reach Alex easily through text and email, and he also accepts Venmo as a payment method. I will look for him again if I have any other projects in the future.

Alex was great - very professional, provided us with a few different options, and walked us through what he was going to do which was very helpful as new homeowners.

He and his team rewired the majority of our house, including the replacement of our knob and tube system and installation of a new sub-panel. They did it all without needing to break into any walls, which was much appreciated!

They also rewired our garage and added new lighting fixtures, really appreciated that! We will definitely use Alex and his team in the future.
