I called Jeff this Sunday afternoon with a partial power outage (heat & most of our major appliances) that appeared to be caused by our breaker panel, gathered in talking with another electrician. Jeff said that it sounded more like a PG&E issue than one internal to our house. I took his advice and got PG&E to come over and the technician spotted loose wires at the utility pole as the cause...Jeff's expertise saved my family hundreds of dollars in unneeded expenses. Thank you so much, Jeff. I'll think of calling you when we have an electrical problem that's not PG&E related.

Jeff was super helpful we called to get some advice on what to do when we had an outlet that wouldn't work he explained everything that we needed to do. He even had us call back to check up with him to make sure that we had everything working and if we had any more questions. Jeff is very knowledgeable and very kind. We will definitely call Jeff in the future if we have any more electrical problems.

i called jeff on a recommendation from a friend. he was able to help me solve my problem on the phone without having to come over. thanks, jeff! when i get in more serious electric trouble, i will definitely use his services.

I am a renter with an evil landlord who wants to run the place into the ground to get me out and avoid rent control. It was 1130PM and my power was out because the landlord was screwing around. Jeff was the only electrician that answered his phone and put me at ease, even offering to schedule me a time and help troubleshoot over the phone. Great people, will call again!

Working with Jeff was a pleasure. We needed to install a phone line to a recently renovated apartment in a mix commercial/residential building with a big mess of existing lines. He was polite and sharp on the phone, came right out to have look at what he was getting into before giving a quote.
The job took a bit longer than he initially estimated which was unfortunate but he was knowledgeable and methodical, taking time to test the line at various stages to make sure there would be no bad surprises at the end requiring much more work.
Overall I would certainly use him again, enjoyed the conversations that we had during his work and everything got done in a nice timely fashion.

What could be worse than an electrical fire in the wall of your apartment? Having it happen on a Sunday between Christmas and New Year's. The firefighters came out and shut down all the electrical circuits in my place, which meant I had to start calling around to electricians to get the thing fixed. Anyway, I finally got hold of someone, and he actually said he would come out that very afternoon - which he did. Three hours later he had fixed the problem. The guy's name is Jeff Bloomfield, owner of Eclectic Electric in Berkeley. If you need a good electrician, I heartily recommend him.

Jeff was nice and attentive to us in the beginning (be careful!). In the end, we realized he was just a bait-and-switch, wanted to charge us double or triple of a normal electrician would charge for the job. He left us in a very bad situation. We were very upset and disappointed. Dont recommend him at all.

Jeff has helped our clients on numerous occasions. He is a consummate professional and has exceeded our expectations time and time again. He is punctual, thorough, and fair. I would recommend Jeff to all my Bay Area clients.

To summarize:
Fast service
Reliable
Knowledgeable
Very reasonable rate
I called Jeff about a failed breaker (a result of water getting in my electrical panel)which is a simple fix, but I do not deal with electrical problems as I enjoy living. Jeff was able to fit me in the very next day. He also helped me identify the leak coming into my panel. It turned out that PG&E did not install a meter seal when they installed my smart meter, so water was getting behind the meter and running down the pipe into my electrical panel. I would need to call PG&E to come fix this. Not more than 15 minutes after Jeff left, he called me to tell me that he had contacted PG&E, informed them of the problem, and they would be coming to fix it later that day. That is going the extra mile. Great service at a reasonable rate. I'll be calling Jeff for any future electrical problems.

I called at 3pm on New Year's Eve because of a humming in the wires I'd been hearing in the walls since 6 am. Jeff called back twenty minutes later, and six minutes after that, he was at my house inspecting the electrical circuits. He worked pro bono, saying that he had been ""in the area."" He was also kind to my cat!
I will definitely be calling Jeff if the wiring acts up again.
