I called Jeff about a failed breaker (a result of water getting in my electrical panel)which is a simple fix, but I do not deal with electrical problems as I enjoy living. Jeff was able to fit me in the very next day. He also helped me identify the leak coming into my panel. It turned out that PG&E did not install a meter seal when they installed my smart meter, so water was getting behind the meter and running down the pipe into my electrical panel. I would need to call PG&E to come fix this. Not more than 15 minutes after Jeff left, he called me to tell me that he had contacted PG&E, informed them of the problem, and they would be coming to fix it later that day. That is going the extra mile. Great service at a reasonable rate. I'll be calling Jeff for any future electrical problems.

I called at 3pm on New Year's Eve because of a humming in the wires I'd been hearing in the walls since 6 am. Jeff called back twenty minutes later, and six minutes after that, he was at my house inspecting the electrical circuits. He worked pro bono, saying that he had been ""in the area."" He was also kind to my cat!
I will definitely be calling Jeff if the wiring acts up again.

Jeff worked with me from start to finish on the electrical part of remodeling our kitchen. He's very knowledgeable, and he had great advice about how to reroute power from one part of the house to the kitchen. He installed our main service panel, then installed a subpanel for our kitchen, then wired up the entire kitchen and laundry room. He works hard, and was available by phone frequently. He saw us through a successful electrical inspection (by the city of Berkeley), and I would definitely recommend Eclectic Electric.

His bid price was very competitive, and I had quite a few bids before hiring him.

I called on a Sunday afternoon and within two rings, Jeff answered. By Monday afternoon we had power. By Tuesday he had visited the house twice, replaced a faulty switch on my old FPE panel, repaired the loose, original (1928) fridge receptacle, and replaced the faulty GFI in the kitchen for under $300.

Jeff provided outstanding service. He's forthright, not pushy in the least, and easy to contact. He replaced and made improvements to my outdoor outlet that was dysfunctional (and also fixed my garage door, gratis). He was efficient, very reasonably priced, and a pleasure to deal with. Called this guy because of his Yelp reviews - very simple telephone wiring job - took 3 weeks to turn up to do the estimate ( kinda high) and then wanted to change the appointment yet again - enough was enough.

He is not in Berkeley as his listing states.

I also agree with the other reviewer that stated ""weirded me out with some of his questions"".

I wouldn't recommend this guy.

Hands down, Jeff (Bloomfield) is the best! After being told by two other so-called electricians that they would have to rewire and replace the entire circuit breaker in our home, we sought a second opinion and from a slew of electricians listed, and getting voice-mails, Jeff answered his call, and the rest is truly a blessing. Rewiring or replacing the circuit breaker was not needed. Jeff is a down to earth genuine person, but moreover, HONEST with very, very reasonable rates. Highly recommend!

Jeff did a great job for us on short notice. We needed an entire breaker box replaced. When Jeff saw that several breakers had burnt out through arcing, he cleared his schedule and got the job done that day. He came in with a price reasonably close to what PG&E had predicted would be needed after they checked the electrical problems for us the previous evening.
He was easy to work with, continued after dark until the job was done, and everything has worked smoothly. Problem solved!
