Jim is prompt to respond to our queries and always shows up on time to get the work done. We hired him for various work in our home - installing ceiling fan, chandelier, change outlets etc. some of these were tricky with the flat roof without attic or crawl space to hide the cables.

I recently needed an electrician to install a new pendant light into the ceiling, where there was not a junction box / housing. I reached out to several electricians via Yelp, and Jim from Echibon was the first to respond. It was almost immediate. We exchanged multiple messages, and Jim had lots of questions about our current light situation, switches and attic access, and clarification of what we wanted. Based on our messages, Jim was able to explain what he would need to do, and give me an estimate of how much his services would cost. We were able to schedule him to come less than a week away. He and his assistant were very careful and thorough, and I was impressed with how quickly they were able to complete the job, plus clean up after themselves. In our situation, Jim needed to remove two of our recessed can lights in kitchen to access the wires needed and re-wire, which required him needing to install two new can-less lights in our ceiling. Jim came prepared with lights to do this. The only issue we had, is the new recessed lights he installed to replace old ones were slightly smaller than the previous ones. It was not his fault though, and he offered to patch up the ceiling, but we declined as we were going to be painting the ceilings in the near future. Jim gave us suggestions on what we could do to fix the appearance of the new light being slightly smaller than the ceiling hole, which was to go buy some trim specifically for this at the hardware store. Would have been nice if he had the trim with him, but it ended up working out fine, as my husband was able to buy the trim, although with a bit of effort to get it to fit just right. As for the pendant light installation and switch control, he and his assistant did a fantastic job determining placement of the light, cutting the drywall, installing new housing and re-wiring so that we could use one of our existing switches.

I highly recommend Echibon Electric and would not hesitate to use them again for any future needs. He was professional, courteous, knowledgeable thorough, yet efficient. I can now see why all the reviews are glowing 5 star reviews!!

I had several outlets and lights that had burned out and needed replacing. Jim from EChiBon responded to my YELP request right away and was able to come fix all of them, plus some problems I wasn't even aware of. I'm very impressed at the quick response time, the full explanations of what was wrong and how he was fixing it, the COVID precautions and the efficiency of the repairs.
additional info: today Jim and his team replaced our outdated electrical panel, completed the job, including 2 PGE inspections, quickly and professionally. Jim even offered to repaint the part of the wall he patched while installing the new breaker box!

Jim and his partner Felix came out to install 12 recessed lights in my new condo. They are very friendly, and did a great job. They also made sure to clean up after themselves and left the place clean of the saw dust. Loving the new lights!

After spending months trying, and failing, to find an electrician to install my Tesla charger (based on the official list of installer recommended bu Tesla), I decided to try a local electrician and I'm glad I did! Jim was responsive, worked with me through the options, was in time, worked efficiently and cleanly: very professional!
He was also one of the best quote. (I got several quotes, some very high, some slightly lower, but none of them ended up following up and scheduling the work...).

I used to charge my EV at work. Ever since the pandemic, charging has become a headache, so we decided to install a charger and maybe do some upgrade as needed. Jim and his work partner helped to upgrade our electric panels (main and sub) as well as installed EV charger in the garage a few months ago. Their work was neat and well-done. Communication was easy and quick. They also took care of the city and PG&E permits for us. Highly recommended.
