Jeff came to do an extensive job at my house. He was extremely expert and conscientious! He had to work in terribly frigid weather to get the job done. But his attitude was always so positive. I could count on him to diagnose the problems and do all of the complicated electrical changes inside and outside my house to make my home safe again.
Also, just contacting this company was a pleasure and a relief. Jeff and the office staff are so kind and responsive, and so efficient. They waste no time getting problems solved.
So many electricians' offices act like they are doing you a favor by answering your phone call! Not with E & S. They are professional and caring and they know what they are doing!
I have finally found THE electrician to use.

Eric is just the type of electrician you want. He's there, he's excellent, and he's gone. Professional, straight-forward, and did great work. We had 3 projects for him and everything went perfectly from start to finish. I will definitely use him again.

I will be sure to never recommend this company or Eric. I got the sense he had an attitude from the very first call I made but I figured maybe he was busy so I would try to make it quick. I let him know from the start that what we needed was a small job of putting lights up above a barber station. He called my bf set an appointment to check it out everything seemed fine. The day before he was scheduled to come out he called and started off asking questions about what he needed. This is where the conversation went sour fast because since we don't know EXACTLY what is needed in regards to wires and switches he started getting the worst attitude as if my bf is stupid or something. IF WE KNEW HOW TO HOOK UP WIRES WE WOULDN'T NEED AN ELECTRICIAN! The whole point of his call was to tell us that he couldn't make it because of an emergency, ok fine understandable, however this review and him being hung up on could've all been prevented if he just would have said he can't make the appointment instead of treating like we're idiots. I don't know how he continues to get business treating others like a commodity.

I wanted to say thank you so much for coming out to our house on the extreme short notice and helping us. We had a potential fire hazard with some bad wiring done by another electrician and we had an unfinished installation of a bath fan due to the inexperience/incompetence of that electrician. When I told Eric about it in the evening he came out the following day. He showed up happy and outgoing and positive and did all of the work that day. He also allowed me to ask many questions and was patient with me. He also gave me some tips on things that I could do no my own - in terms of replacing some outdoor attic vents.


I could not have asked any for any better service and I enjoyed talking with Eric as well. We slept well that night knowing that our house was safe and I just took my first shower this morning with the new bath fan and it worked beautifully! No more soggy walls or fogged mirrors.

I learned the hard way that is best to hire a qualified professional so the job can be done right the first time. That's a lesson that I learned many years ago but apparently forgot (Again lol).

Thanks again Eric and I will be contacting you again the future.

Great experience working with Erik. He installed a new chandelier and a new pendant light fixture, did some work on our recessed lighting, and moved a switch. Cathedral ceilings were no problem.

Throughout the process, it was easy to communicate with Erik. He gave us some great suggestions and worked with us to make sure we were happy with everything he did, including experimenting with the chandelier height for a while. Clean, efficient, and we felt the price was fair.

Just had E&S come around for the second time to fix the same outdoor lights/outdated lighting they fixed before. Friendly and competent enough. However, I feel their services are very pricey, and no break given despite the fact that it was the same issue from less than a year before when I paid what I thought then was far too much (granted, I was warned I might need to spend around an additional $2k to prevent it from happening again). Confession: I had not realized I was calling the same guys back.

Perhaps I am not up to date on what electrician fees are these days... $200/hour seems high to me, especially given that one of them is an assistant being told what to do. I also wish I had been told that on the phone before coming out, though mea culpa for not asking, I guess. They just said they were coming out and I was thinking it would be for an estimate.

In any case, after they left, it dawned on me that I had not even been given an invoice/receipt. I would think that standard practice.

Will shop around better next time. Thought I'd post it in case there are others who are not aware of their rates and would also not want to dish out that much if not necessary.
