Rude customer service before they ever arrived. When I asked for an estimate Joe, one of the owners, called and with an attitude said well it could take 5 minutes or 5 hours. I decided to cancel because other companies could actually give me a time window. And with that estimate it could cost over $800 to do the job. When I told him I cancelled he called me, I wasn't at the phone then texted me to call him. When I returned his call he rudely wanted to know why we cancelled. I said I went with another company when he then instructed me to make sure they're licensed. I would have gone with E I if Joe wasn't so rude over the phone but he left a bad impression before ever arriving making me not feel comfortable doing business with him.

Thank you so very much for helping us with an emergency situation at a moment's notice with great efficiency and expertise. It was delightful coordinating with Joe, and within an hour the boss (I assume David) was on our property assessing things, electricians immediately dispatched after and they called HECO to assist for me which was a huge help. The job was completed same day, I imagine complicated as it took long hours. First service call ever in which I didn't have to be present as it was outdoors which was soooo helpful as I had a busy work day. I am also very impressed with EI's electronic communications and billing systems. Clear, fast, easy and thorough. We are super pleased with the reasonable cost. E I electrical sent us an invoice notifying us that one of their electricians would arrive at 8:30-9:30am. Hours have gone by and it still seemed like nobody was going to show up after all. We waited until 10:30 for them to arrive but however, there were still no signs of anybody arriving, so we decided to leave and hire another electrician to do the job. A few days went by, and we get another invoice claiming that they have finished the job when we already had it done the day they were supposedly going to show up. Overall I am most definitely not contended with this company and would be appreciated if somebody had just notified me that they were going to run late.

Fast response time, I called late afternoon and I was able to schedule an appointment for the very next day. Communication was via text which was great - accurate and efficient. It was an easy job so it only took them a little under an hour. Fair rates. Danny provided services, he was very nice and answered all of my questions, and did great work.

Had such a great experience with EI Electrical!

A friend had sold us their front loading washer/dryer for super cheap, and we needed to install a 220v outlet to support the dryer-- our original dryer ran on gas.

My husband requested a quote via Yelp! from a few different companies, but EI was the only one who answered him back. Their initial quote was reasonable and they were able to come out quickly.

I loved that our electrician showed up a little earlier than our scheduled appointment-- punctuality is a lost art in this day and age. After doing a little work and assessing the situation, Dathan determined that he needed a second pair of hands and a little more time to get the job done. However, after about an hour, his partner hadn't arrived yet and he said that he was about another hour to an hour and a half pau. I appreciated that he felt he needed the extra help for safety reasons, and also impressed that he was able to take care of the job on his own and in a good amount of time.

When he was done, he showed me that there was power emitting from the outlet and even offered to help me stack the dryer. I told him that moving our washer in there was a three-person job, but thanked him for the offer. He cleaned up his work area (including the crawl space in the attic) and let me review the invoice before emailing it to us.

E I's rate is $125/hr, and they're the most expensive electricians we've ever used. We were charged 9 hours of labor ($1200) to replace a bathroom fan, replace 2 outdoor flood lights, and replace a ceiling fan. Another electrician had to come to finish what the 1st electrician couldn't figure out, and we were charged another 6 hours to replace track lights in our office. They schedule you fast, but they have young, inexperienced electricians who are learning on the job. The electricians had to keep calling more experienced contractors for guidance, and finally another experienced electrician had to come help install the track light when the first guy couldn't figure it out.
