Consider this, if our flat rate to upgrade your main breaker panel is $1,800 and it needs only half the time, you become the one at a disadvantage. These rates are determined to cover the worst-case scenario to guarantee the contractor profits. While this may seem fair, if your situation do not necessitate a worst-case scenario, you shouldn’t have to pay for it. Our billing process is based on true job costs with a fair markup and tax. You get value for your money and we earn what we have earned.

Our business was acquired in the fall of 1999 from Ronald Terry Electric, Inc. The name was changed in January 2012 to Dobbs & Company. We specialize in residential, commercial, and industrial work.

Our owner, Greg is a proud resident of Morgan County and the youngest child of David and Wonda Dobbs. Greg grew up in a construction-oriented family, as his father was involved in the building industry in North Alabama for over four decades. In the time leading up to purchasing Ronald Terry Electric, he was part of one of the biggest industrial electrical contractors in the area. His background included positions such as an industrial electrician in high-voltage systems, PLC programming, and systems design. As he concluded his time with the company, he served as the lead electrical estimator. Greg has also worked steel mills, the car manufacturing industry, aircraft manufacturing, copper tubing, home appliance manufacturing, food production, the chemical processing and film industry, cryogenics, and the electronics industry. With such a diverse experience from fieldwork to supervisory roles, it was a logical step for him to start his own business.
