Called back to tell them to go ahead and do the the electronic leak test to prove to them is a micro leak due to the rust in the evaporator coil. I was told that they want to charge me $1200 to replace the line set! I told them that the field technician came up to do the compression test and determine there are no leaks! I told them that I only want the evaporator coil fixed which was already determined to be the cause and was okay to be charged the $550 that they initially quoted me.

I am done with this company! This is my third and final time I will deal with Del-Air! Their prices may be the lowest in the area but after the installation. They don't want to do any warranty work because they can't charge me for it so they want to charge you for other bogus work that is not needed - Such as a line set.

I have used this company for my AC maintenance since I moved to this area going on four years. The technicians are friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. They don't try to sell me anything. The maintenance contracts are very reasonably priced. They do a good job.

The worst customer service ever! We purchased a house in Fort Myers as a get away part time house, we live in New York full time. At the time the house was about a year old. Del Air installed the unit and we had some problems with moisture around the A/C unit. I called for service and our home watch person met them at the house and let them in. I paid $79.00 for the service call and never heard from them again. I didn't know what the problem was. Last week our home watch company told me the house wasn't cooling so she called them again. Today I get a call from a very RUDE person on the phone that explains that she need to collect $79.00 before they go to the house it was there policy. I explained that when they were at our house I would give her my credit card number. She laughed and said she would call me back in a few minutes. When they arrive at our house the very RUDE girl called me back again. I had a few more questions to ask and shared my concerns about the last service call and she said it was not her job she could only speak about this visit. I told her to tell him to leave my house and that I would not pay for terrible customer service!! She was a prefect example terrible, terrible service. If you don't like your job find something else to do. I am done paying for Crappy service.

I bought my brand new construction home in the end of 2016. Brand new unit put in by Del-Air. Let me tell you, I have had issues with this unit since the beginning. At first everything was fine, and yes I HAVE done the routine Maintanence on it. The past couple of weeks, it has been going out every week at least once a week. It does not cool down it goes up and then it shuts off and doesn't come back on and we have to drain the line ourselves, and yes I'm in Florida so I get it, its trying to work harder to cool down but still! Everytime I call Del-Air, I swear Ireceive the absolute WORST customer service I have EVER had. They answer the phone like they want to kill themselves rather than be on the phone with you. literally.
Today I called and said, hey I really just need some help I'm at a loss here, and the lady proceeds to tell me that basically its my fault bc I should be a responsible homeowner and get it checked up more often. and then she goes ""well are you gonna tell me whats wrong with it?????"" in the rudest voice, and tells me ""well were busy so"" & mind you, this is just ONE incedent!!!!!! Ive had many

Its just not okay to be treated like that as a customer! Im so over it!!!

Id really like to speak to a supervisor who actually cares about their job! Its rediculous! Everyone I talk to tells me ""they just aren't good anymore.""

I just built a new house and spent a lot of money on custom wood floors. A DelAir tech came in, refused to take his shoes off and scuffed up my floors, which now need to be refinished. I submitted a claim right away. When the supervisor came out he pretty much shrugged his shoulders and said not our fault, sorry. He was not friendly or had any empathy for the situation and refused to take an ounce of responsibility. DelAir is supposed to be insured and bonded, but apparently that does not make a difference. I have already made a recommendation to my entire neighborhood to boycott this company and to change service to a company that actually cares. It is now going to cost me $10,000 to refinish my floors. If you read this review please discontinue service with this company. There are several companies out there that really do care.

This is a complete lie, Del-Air never done any work free!! I am attaching the invoice for proof. Also the first homeowners used a different HVAC contractor because DelAir sucked at their job! Del-Air hires young employees like 20 to do their work. These young men have not had enough experience to clean up the freaking mess & poor workmanship that Del-Air does. This house under new construction was improperly installed. I wasn't the original owner because if I had been Del-Air would have never gotten away with this! This has nothing to do with Me not wanting to pay! It has everything to do with making them accountable for their poor installation. They were paid a lot of money from Taylor Morrison Homes to do the entire HVAC and electrical! We have problems with both! Too many skilled HVAC Contractors including engineers have documented it! See attached the photos of the documents I'm referring to! I'm telling you I have been cursed out by Richard Fortin ceo for bringing this massive health hazard to him. He is an old bitter man who is about himself instead of Customerservice. I'm not done with this company I will pursue every avenue possible starting with the news so stay tuned! I will also be involving our congressman in this serious matter. As for as you Michelle misleading customers into thinking you are in our corner and then write such bs shows what type of person you really are. How can you work for such a disgraceful company? I hope you can sleep at night knowing you left children in a moldy environment due to your companies improper installation!

After 10 years of using the extended.warranty , I am left out in the ""heat"". Year after year they put bandaids on my system patching leak after leak. Then just adding freak till rhe weather cooled off. Then rhe entire indoor coils were replaced, a $1500 warranty job.NO-ONE TOLD ME IT WAS PART OF A NATIONAL LAWSUIT. T his was a top of the line Lenox system, that NOW it laughed at by their tech's. So just 2 years after the coil was replaces, it must be replaced again, but now a few months AFTER the warranty is up, it's cost is now $3000, not $1500. I was screwed with worthless patches until the warranty was over, AND l. E. Ft out of the lawsuit.
This company has a lousy record and more consumers need to hear about them. Del Air has gotten away with screwing customers for years, AND I bet no one there reads these reviews!!

Update next day.... a man calls back to ARGUE the points, totally uninterested in customer service. This is what I was complaining about. The man even hung up on me when I called the installer, who put his foot through my ceiling, an asshole. I do seriously believe a tech that kicks a hole in my home deserves that name.
As it stands, my opinion of DelAir is even worse today as the phone call from them was meant to be argumentative, NOTa solution!,

Never will use this company again. Paid $99.00 for a tune up that was advertised at $79.00. Tech didn't do nothing because 2 weeks later, WE had to have another Ac company come out. Coils were dirty, blades were dirty and drain line was clogged up. These where SOME OF THE things that was suppose to be taken care of in the tune up. SHAMEFUL

This company is the worst !!!!! ( Don't hire This company ). I've had problem with this air Conditioning unit and it's only a year and six months old . Within the first year they've come out numerous times to fix something wrong with the unit. I've asked them to replace . They In turn told us. ( OH NO WE CAN FIX IT ). We told them give us new unit or give us my money back for that way I can go somewhere else and replace my unit ! ( 1 )They have to replace the coil. ( 2 ) Vacuum the holes (3) replace the thermostat ( 4 ). Replace a defective part inside the unit itself . For 8,000 dollars we really don't have to go thru this. We call the company Del-Air in Florida ! We call Lowe who recommended this company. And the didnt do anything . I guess money is first. Working class Citizens are LAST !

I requested a technician check my A/C unit according the contract I purchased previously. I didn't have any issues with the A/C as I had recently replaced the compressor, but I wanted any potential issues to be discovered and accessed.

The technician, Julio, that arrived at my house did a quick check of the air handler and return unit. After inspecting my unit, Julio summoned me to my garage as says, ""hey, I want to show you something."" He points at the coils inside my return and shows me a little mildew. After which he states, ""you take care of me, and I'll take care of you."" I asked if him if he was referring to paying him additional money in cash and responded, ""Yes."" I quickly told him that I wasn't interested and he stated that he would spray the coils to address the mildew anyway.

Here's where the story get interesting . . . before he leaving my home, he failed to secure my ac's safety switch which disabled my air conditioning unit completely.

I find it too coincidental that his failure to complete the job as employed left my home a ""hot mess"". I couldn't understand why my A/C unit was not responding/working. The air handler was off, thermostat was on but the temperature continued to rise. It wasn't until I did my own checking a few hours later, that I discovered it!

Wow! I will never do business with this company in the future. Buyers beware!! Not worth the headache!!
