Our home is new construction (2020 built) so less than 1 year old. The HVAC and parts were installed by Del-Air and in the past year, the AC has gone completely out not once but TWICE. On July 26, our AC went out and they were not able to send someone to look at it until July 29. The repair man did not go onto the roof to evaluate the entire system but just looked at the compressor that is located within the house. He said it was a clogged drain line and left (several hundred dollars later). Flash forward 6 weeks and the AC has gone out again and it will be another 48 hours until they can get someone out to look at it. They refuse to waive the service fee since it has been over 30 days (so they literally only back their work to last 30 days, WHAT?!). This is a brand new, energy efficient unit. We regularly change the filter and keep up with the system. It makes zero sense. Literally use anyone else, literally anyone.

I haven't been able to trust an air conditioning company until I was introduced to Del-Air! When my AC was going out a few weeks ago, Phillip came out a day after I requested service, and analyzed my unit upstairs and downstairs to resolve my issues. He really took the time to provide options he thought was best for me, and left me knowing he had my best interest in mind! Unfortunately my unit downstairs started going out shortly after, and another tech Jean came out. After another visit with it still not working, he returned again and we came to the conclusion that everything would need to be replaced. At that point Shaun from sales came over same day and discussed new ownership options with me to replace both units. He did a wonderful job to keep my budget in mind and not oversell me on anything, and helped me choose the what was best for me. The installation of my new units happened 2 days later, and I couldn't be happier to have a working AC again! Thank you Del-Air for providing me with the best solutions!

We have been using Del Air for over 5 years now and previously never had any issues. The only reason I hired them was because they did the installation work for the builder so I assumed they would be good for the biannual maintenance. We didn't have any issues until June of this year. We had the routine maintenance done at the end of April and I was told everything was working great. In June, the temperature of the home was going up which was not usual and I suspected a dirty air filter. I removed the air filter and found that it was soaking wet. I just assumed perhaps I let it go to long and replaced it. I also had Del Air come back out because they had just been out about 1 month earlier and I have never had a wet air filter before. They checked the system and said everything was great. About 3 weeks later, the temperature in the home started going up again. Checked the air filter and it was wet again. I called Del Air and a tech came out again and said everything was working fine and that it was probably due to the high humidity we've been having and that the temperature difference in our lower level zones was probably creating the excess water. About 2 weeks after this, the system shut off completely. I checked the air filter and it was fine but the float switch had been triggered. I cleaned out the float line and the it began running again. After about 1 hour, I found that the drain line was backed up. I immediately called Del Air and was told that they could have someone out in the morning. I called a few other companies as well because it was 10pm and I didn't want the unit to stop in the middle of the night. No one was available but one also said they would call me in the morning. They did call me at 8am and had a tech out to our home by 9:30am. I explained to him what was going on and he told me that it had to be a partial clog of the drain lines. He did a chemical flush and stated that it was clear to him that the lines weren't being properly maintained. Considering what came out of those lines, it was clear that he was correct. I'm very disappointed in Del Air and have requested a refund of my maintenance agreement fee. I have yet to get a reply from them. Amazing that since the lines were cleaned properly, we have not had one issue whatsoever with the temperature in the home when in fact we have had heat indexes over 105 for several days. Needless to say, the company that actually new what they were doing has now become the company who will be doing my biannual maintenance. I have used that company before for plumbing and electric but never thought to use them for heat and air.

I normally don't leave reviews but this repair guy needs a lesson on customer services. I had a capacitor for an A/C unit replaced in March for my down stair A/C unit and the same unit went bad again. I called Del-Air to fix it and they sent out a Non-Knowledgeable Worker. He worked on the wrong unit at first. The down stairs unit was broke but he torn apart the upstairs unit and said he can't find any issue after an hour of working.

Once he realized he was working on the wrong unit, he put that unit back together and started working on the correct unit. Del Air did not want to accept that they already replaced that capacitor in March and since my family had to live upstairs for 3 days, we are sure it was the downstair unit that wasn't working.

With that said, we tried to get a supervisor on the phone but he or she was in a meeting. I called the main office and had no luck in getting a supervisor on the phone. The repair guy (Rayhad) started to be very rude and said ""I am 100 percent sure what was replaced"" and I told him I am 100 percent sure where my family had to sleep and what unit wasn't working in my house.

The repair guy started to get mouthy and express his true color's and said I am putting everything back together. I called and talked to anther person on the phone and told them what was happening. Rayhad stormed off to his vehicle and said "" I am not getting involved in this situation and stated he wasn't going to complete the work"" He said he doesn't care about how much money I make and started talking under his breath. He showed me his name tag and speed off. Totally unprofessional and needs to be fired if you ask me. He also left the good unit inoperative which was working when he got here. The outdoor circuit breaker was pulled which I think he did that intentionally.

Overall, I won't use this company anymore and my neighbors that witness this situation also was in shock. Bad apple in every crowd. Hopefully Rayhad gets some corrective training soon. Poor Performance and Lack and Standards or Professionalism.

UPDATE:

The supervisor was supposed call me after his meeting over a week ago. I actually called Del Air to see why it was late afternoon and the supervisor haven't call yet. So, I attempted twice to contact the supervisor and the representative told me they were sending him an email to see why the supervisor hadn't contacted me. Well, now I see why Rayhad was initially working on the wrong A/C unit because it's the Blind leading the Blind. His Supervisor don't have integrity so why should the employee operate above sub-par Leadership. I totally understand the failures now. Use this company at your own risk....

I called this company to get a quote on a new a/c unit. My current unit was working but getting old. They came out to give me a Quote. A few hours After they left the house was hot. Coincedence... I called another company to try to service it the next day. Here to find the float unit on a/c unit was undone. The tech told us somebody did this on purpose. Unfortunately we were going to purchase a unit with them. Now the trust is gone. We will purchase from the company that did the service for us. Beware people Beware!! Sad to think they would do this to someone!!

On the day of installation they complained that they could not run new copper because it was too much work. They already tore my old system apart and John Aldrich agreed to reimburse me $400 because they weren't going to do it. Even though I was told that a new copper run was closer to $1000 of the installation. I agreed because I was stuck but going on a month and several voice mails, still no refund. Funny how they respond instantly when you're buying and start screening your calls when they are not making money. I will be making a forms complaint with BBB but if you're going to be suckered in with this company. Don't work with John Aldrich.

My AC unit stopped working early this morning I called Della I bought the system from them for years ago I have an extended warranty and it had to do with the mechanical issue a****** technician came and said it's a maintenance issue and charge me a hundred and sixty bucks before even looking at the AC unit before even cutting charged me why baby cuz I'm a gringo maybe that's why he thinks I'm a gringo and you can take advantage of me I called Bel-Air if it's a supervisor supervisor hasn't called me back yet I want the reimbursement of 160 bucks for something that had nothing to do with doing maintenance to it and the reason I know that because the last technician show me how to do the maintenance to save me money so that was done and all of a sudden he comes here and now

Our neighbor let us all know (77 neighborhoods) that Del-Air would not come out to their home with an active case of Covid. The person who was sick is a police officer! Some neighbors offered a portable unit & one offered to come by after work to help. I will NEVER use this company.
