David Gray started the business in 1983 out of a Plymouth Duster (a sedan, not a van or truck). Initially, incoming calls were directed to his father-in-law's furniture store, where they were answered by furniture salespeople. The business grew to a level that required an office and a dedicated staff.

The company is authentically a family business. At various times, David's wife, father, father-in-law, brother-in-law, son, daughter(s), and niece have all been part of the company. Currently, David's son and brother-in-law help manage the company as co-owners alongside him.

The business has transformed from that Plymouth Duster to having over thirty-five service crews and more than 70 employees. In 1980, David Gray started David Gray Plumbing, Inc., and we have been offering excellent plumbing repair services in Jacksonville, FL ever since. Our team consists of the finest plumbers and certified HVAC technicians in Jacksonville.

Great Service at a fair price on both a bathroom sink valve leak and a shower handle leak. I decided to get both valves replaced while he was there. Your plumber Roy G. was professional, experienced and he explained everything in advance including pricing. He cleaned up and was very proficient, including putting covers over his shoes. Very impressive

Very professional business. Called for non-emergency plumbing repair and was given an appointment for the next day. I had a choice of morning or afternoon timeframe and was told the repairmen would contact me 30 minutes prior to arrival and would provide a link to follow his location to further inform me of his arrival. The repairman arrived and promptly went to work and completed the necessary repair. He was personable and courteous. I called David Gray upon the recommendation of a neighbor who had used them for some plumbing problems that they had. I did not call any others as my neighbor was very satisfied with their service; accordingly I am unable to compare them for cost comparison. I

Nonprofessional installation services. Super overpriced!

Starting to believe any company that charges over $100 just to look at the job is a rip off... cost to install garbage disposal over $450. If they had to move a pipe they wanted over $700.. Literally 45 min.

DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

Adam and his assistant did a great job replacing my toilet. My previous toilet kept getting clogged and even leaked water down into the condo below me. They installed the Kohler comfort height toilet, and it functions very well. They replaced the flange and sealed the toilet up with great quality. They also cleared the mineral build-up that was in the pipe, right beneath the toilet.

Thank you!

Savannah is the service technician who helped me with the HVAC consult and she knocked it out of the park!!! She is thorough, leaving no stone unturned, kind and informative. She went above and beyond my expectations on educating me on my home HVAC system function as well as provided me with service and product options. I highly recommend any company she works for and you'd be both lucky and blessed to work with her.

As a follow-up, I was contacted by a representative from management trying to explain why their technician tried to gouge me. In all honesty, I shouldn't have even paid the service charge; after all, he didn't do anything diagnostic regarding my repair. We could visually see what the problem was, (as he could.) We didn't have the ability to shut off the water, but we could have made a trip to Home Depot, buy the replacement valve and install it myself. (If we knew how to shut off the water supply.) Regardless of how management tried to spin this, the technician thought we were fools that would pay an inflated, outrageous fee for a minimal repair he didn't have to diagnose. I feel even stronger that gouging customers in a bind is standard operating procedure for David Gray Plumbing. ""If"" you're really HONEST, prove it and refund my service call fee because he absolutely didn't do anything to justify the payment.

My elderly mother just brought it to my attention that this company charge her $163 plus service charge 69.00 changing a water hose on a washer. The ethical thing to do was to tell her over the phone that job doesn't require a plumber!! Then after my mom was ""robbed"" the guy offered her $880 to change out the toilet. Seriously?!!! What a shameful act and by the look of your ratings people are finding out about how you take advantage. No upfront pricing but the service charge!! I hope you don't make another dime until you apply ethical standards. Your ratings are low for a reason!!

The quality of work was top notch. The value tho is like toilet paper during covid. Non existent. I understand a 69 dollar service fee but that is a fee no matter if you use them or not. If they come out and you don't use them It's 69 dollars. If they come out and you decide to use them it's 69dollars and then what they are going to charge. They don't include the fee in the services. They don't bill hourly but at a rate in their work code. I have a sub floor with a crawl space and the charged an extra 346.65 for Difficult Access * Level 1. What does that mean in the job hazard analysis report. If it was that difficult then why wasn't another worker here in the first place per osha regulations code 29 CFR 1910.146. Will love someone in a supervisor role from David grey to consider to contact me. My estimate number is 130393490.
