Nice to have a good electrician in the neighborhood. After home warranty company's electrician came out to check on a non-operational attic fan I was told the wires were chewed through and not covered. I called Dan Matthews to come out to repair the wires. Turns out Dan discovered the wires were not the issue, the fan was in fact broken. Dan provided a quote to replace the fan, and was accepted by the warranty company. Dan came out later and replaced the fan and now is back in working order.

I reached out requesting assistance with replacing a light fixture and repairing an under the kitchen cabinet light. Dan recommended replacing all the under the cabinet lights with LED due to chronic issues with under the cabinet lights. I purchased the LED lights and Dan came out and replaced all 3 lights and installed the new light fixture. $250 minimum for 2 hours of work. Dan did it all within 2 hours. I would recommend Dan and will be contacting him again for any future needs.

Thank you, Dan! Not only did he respond promptly to our arc'ing circuit breaker issue, Dan identified some loose connections in the breaker panel, did some reconfiguration, and made sure all was well before leaving. Great communication via text around arrival times and general updates (there's a bad joke in there somewhere about not being left in dark regarding his whereabouts...). Anyway, besides his reasonable rates, Dan Matthews Electric is another example of why you should support your local business. Not too often you can call someone and get if fixed same day (at least in my case). A++.

We were extremely pleased with the entire process working with Dan Matthews Electric. From first contact to completion Dan is a consummate professional. We needed to replace light fixtures in our family room and entryway and have a new light installed in our dining room. Dan and his son took great care to minimize the dust and debris when working through the sheetrock and creating a new mounting fixture and modifying the existing switch outlet. The entryway light needed to be relocated which required the installation of a new support bar for the heavier new light. While installing the new light switch Dan discovered that the dimmer function for our kitchen lights was wired incorrectly. He quickly fixed that problem as well despite not being within the original scope of the quote. The finished job looks amazing, the price was fair, and we will definitely be contacting Dan for any future electrical work we encounter.
