Our house in La Mesa, Mt. Nebo area, was built in 1946 and has been added onto in a hodgepodge fashion over the years and electrical was interesting at best. We recently have embarked on a full kitchen, dining, living room remodel. Damon was 100% professional, he responded promptly to phone calls and even text messages. He sent us a reasonable bid, listened to what we needed, made additions when we asked, and has worked with us to get our project finished. His bid included all aspects of the job from start to finish, he has a payment structure to coincide with work completed...no surprises. Damon was able to fix many of the sketchy wiring in areas of the house that were done years ago by a previous homeowner himself. When we added work, Damon's charge was fair and we didn't even blink about settling up. He even accepts Venmo, which made payment easy. There are two negative reviews, I'm sorry for that, because that was absolutely not my experience. Highest recommendation to DM Electric.

Damon and Hector installed 2 new ceiling fans and replaced 2 defective outlets for me. They came back to troubleshoot and repair a previous electrician's mistake at no extra cost. The work was done expertly and cleanly at a reasonable cost. I am extremely satisfied with the entire experience.

I don't know why I haven't written a review for these guys sooner. Damon and his team are awesome! Not only are they actually enjoyable to be around (these guys are super down to earth), but they work fast, get the job done well, are up front with cost, are flexible and willing to work with your budget, and arrive when they say they are going to arrive. For electrical work, they are also really reasonably priced! I've had D M Electric work on my cafe 3 different times now, and will continue to work with them for all things electrical.

COMMERCIAL/RETAIL BUSINESS OWNERS- They also know what they are doing when it comes to SD Environmental Health Code. This saves so much time and hassle on your part.

Want to say thanks to DM Electric & Damon. I have a condo that has really bad lighting. DM Electric has come out 3 times and solved all the problems. This company is very easy to deal with, and they do great work. I highly recommend, and would hire again. Thanks guys !

I decided to go with D M Electric after talking with Damon about replacing our existing breaker panel. He seemed knowledgeable and detailed about the scope of the work to be completed. When I arrived home the day of the work, the technician working on the panel was extremely sub-par. The panel had been installed and he was trying to figure out which breaker controlled what. He then asked me to help him do his work. When I took a closer look at the work he had completed, it turned out that they had not grounded the panel correctly, had used the wrong gauge wire and had improperly labeled all the breakers. It was in worse condition than before I had hired them! Not only that, the technician working on the job left cigarette butts and wiring scraps all over the area he was working. I've attempted to reach out to DM Electric for repairs due to current issues I'm having with our electrical and have never heard back. I would steer clear of D M Electric at all cost, especially if you want a safe and working electrical system on your project. Terrible service!!

I looked around for a while for an electrician to install outdoor lighting and DM electric was referred to me by a neighbor. They were better priced than the other bids and really spent the time to make the process easy and comfortable. They helped me source the some for lighting and help me understand the different lighting options I bought from Amazon.

When they came onsite the crew was very professional and did amazing work. They even fixed an electric exercise bike my dog had damaged for free! Their work was top notch and I was very happy.

I highly recommend this company for your electrical needs.

We have a 93 year old house, so it's always nerve-wracking when something goes wrong with the power. It turned out we had a faulty outlet, which Damon replaced in a very short time. Highly recommend! Will definitely use him again.

I would give DM electric 10 out of 5 stars but I can only do 5 stars! 
Damon was referred to me by one of my best friends after sdg&e cut my power off because of one incompetent electrician that wanted to make a quick buck without telling me that the work he was doing required a city permit. To make a long story short I was without power for two months, because of many reasons which I'm not going to talk about. After I contacted Damon he came the same day and he started to get to the bottom of the issue, he  contacted the power company, got the plans to install a new double metered panel, and he restored my power in a very short time. He came with his crew, also very professional and knowledgeable, and they did an amazing job up to code, reinstated my city permit, got city approval, and got me out of the ""dark""! He also fixed some other issues without charging me for the extra work!!
I would totally recommend DM electric to everyone that needs an honest, reasonable, and fare priced electrician. Email me for a referral.
