Thanks to Damon and Kimo for the AWESOME job they did not only removing the knob and tube from the very tiny attic of our home in Normal Heights, but also for correcting the previous work done in our newly purchased bungalow! Absolutely AWFUL customer service. Ok, so I can handle the pointless phone tag and complete lack of attention to detail with the information provided, but then setting up an appointment, just not showing up and not letting the client know, is beyond unprofessional. He just didn't show at all. Eventually, 45mins after I'm already at work, he answers me and says he's going to send a random guy and that it was my fault because I should have just known that he ""didn't get my address"". When I asked him why he didn't call/text saying that we have an appointment but he didn't seem to get my address, his answer to me was ""sorry, I don't have time to chase down clients"". Has your jaw hit the ground reading that like mine did?

Unbelievably unprofessional. I should have known better, he seemed distracted and aloof over the phone, but was giving him the benefit of the doubt. I'm a professional and know what it means to meet my commitments to others. If you at all care about your time and being treated like a valuable customer, I would suggest looking for someone else on yelp that would actually love to show up and do the job.

I can't speak highly enough about Damon. He does excellent work at a price that is more than fair. I've had Damon do a few projects at my house, and am always satisfied with the result.

I had an odd electrical issue at my 1912-built craftsman home in Kensington Park that I could not figure out. Half of my house had power and the other half was dead. I read the other Yelp reviews about Damon's professionalism and gave him a call. He showed up exactly when he said he would. He identified the root cause issue of my electrical problem, dove in, and had it repaired before it got dark. I was so scared that I was going to have a huge bill (as I am always frightful when a vendor comes to my home and sees how old it is.) The cost for time and materials was MORE THAN fair. So fair, in fact, that he walked out with a couple bottles of my very best home-brew as a way to say thanks. I will be sure to recommend DM Electric to my neighbors as I frequent nextdoor.com. A++ work. A++ people.

Damon and his partner Kimo were FANTASTIC! We live in a 1920s home in the Normal Heights area and had lots of small but stumping electrical issues. Damon and Kimo were very professional, knowledgeable, kind, down-to-earth and all around great guys. Their pricing was very fair and we would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone looking for electrical projects small or large!

I had a 1970s remodel project and was referred to Damon and his crew by my real estate agent. Damon was a pro and, with all our interactions over 2 months, became a trusted friend. He offered solutions when faced with problems, made decision making easy and, as scary as specialty contractors can be, was fair and (sometimes) generous in his pricing. I did not feel nickel and dimed, he set me up for future growth/development of my place, and I know he would support any challenge that comes up in the future. Damon and his team are experts in their field! I've known Damon for several years after my experience working with him as a vendor while opening up a new restaurant / night club. When my partner and I bought our new house that was an investor flip, I knew exactly who I wanted to do all the custom lighting upgrades. He is fair in his pricing, and focuses on getting the job complete in a timely manner without cutting any corners.

His original estimate to me was exactly what I had asked for and when his team uncovered electrical issues that were extreme safety hazards, they took the time to fix them and eliminated the potential risks for disaster and STILL CAME IN UNDER BUDGET! Needless to say the investor who flipped the property worked with a contractor who was a hack and did sub-par work without regards to code and blatant issues they covered up.

I would highly recommend Damon Millard and his team for any residential or commercial projects! If he is really busy and can't get to your job immediately, he's worth the wait if you have the time. I waited patiently knowing I would be happy with his professional care and attention to my new house.

Hire Damon! In less than 20 minutes he assessed and fixed the issue caused by old, worn out wires at my 80s condo complex. Based on other reviews here I can tell his business is focused on bigger jobs - but I didn't feel like that at all. He let me know he had a full schedule but squeezed his visit it on the way so I didn't have to sit in a darkened living room for another day!
