I've engaged in side jobs for years, but I made the decision to start my own business. My previous supervisor, who trusted me with a Superintendent role on one of the largest projects in the Southeast—the Navy Federal Headquarters in Bueller, Florida—an important site. We worked as a subcontractor for Barracco Electric, and I joined three other electricians. We ended up with a workforce of 50 by the time I departed. When my ex-boss looked me in the eye and said he didn’t require my services anymore, I realized, “It’s business; you’re the highest-paid employee He mentioned he could hire others for a fraction of my pay. I understand the nature of business decisions. That’s when I resolved to study for my master contractor license, which I am currently studying for. The deadline in December 2022 is approaching. I am fully capable of handling light electrical work and light commercial projects with my LLC license. I hope to offer careers in the electrical field to young people who have been in trouble with the law.
