With over 75 years of experience, Cullum Electric and Mechanical has been a leader in the field. Cullum Electric was founded by Hubert Cullum during the 1930s. The business began in his home before moving to a location on Waller Avenue. George Smith, Hubert's son-in-law, became the owner in the late 1960s and introduced commercial and industrial heating and cooling services. Cullum Electric soon evolved into Cullum Electric AND Mechanical and moved to its current location on East Durst Avenue. Wade Smith, George's son, came on board in the late 1980s. Wade started in the electrical division and eventually took charge of the service department. Today, he runs the business with John's help, while George provides advice and manages special projects.

All three, Wade, John, and George, hold engineering degrees from Clemson and are licensed contractors in mechanical and electrical fields. Their goal is to uphold Cullum's rich history of delivering high-quality heating, cooling, and electrical services and installations.
