With over 75 years of experience, Cullum Electric and Mechanical has been a leader in the field. In the 1930s, Hubert Cullum founded Cullum Electric. The business began in his home before moving to a location on Waller Avenue. George Smith, Hubert's son-in-law, became the owner in the late 1960s and introduced commercial and industrial heating and cooling services. Cullum Electric later became Cullum Electric AND Mechanical and established its current location on East Durst Avenue. In the late 1980s, Wade Smith, the son of George, began working with Cullum Electric and Mechanical. He began in the electrical division and later assumed leadership of the service department. Today, he runs the business with John's help, while George provides advice and manages special projects.

Wade, John, and George are graduates of Clemson's engineering program and are licensed mechanical and electrical contractors. They strive to preserve Cullum's legacy of excellence in heating, cooling, and electrical services and installations.
