For more than 75 years, Cullum Electric and Mechanical has led the industry. Cullum Electric was founded by Hubert Cullum during the 1930s. The business began in his home before moving to a location on Waller Avenue. In the late 1960s, Hubert's son-in-law, George Smith, took over and added services for commercial and industrial heating and cooling. The company transformed into Cullum Electric AND Mechanical and relocated to its present site on East Durst Avenue. Wade Smith, George's son, came on board in the late 1980s. Wade started in the electrical division and eventually took charge of the service department. Today, he runs the business with John's help, while George provides advice and manages special projects.

Wade, John, and George are graduates of Clemson's engineering program and are licensed mechanical and electrical contractors. Their goal is to uphold Cullum's rich history of delivering high-quality heating, cooling, and electrical services and installations.
