After reading these and similar reviews, I thought I'd give Mr. Plumber a call after noticing a clog at an older house we recently bought. The plumber came out as scheduled and proceeded to remove the clog as promised(all though it was $193 as he had to go on the roof). Fair enough. There was a second pipe that we mentioned wasn't draining great so they said they could snake it(for $93) and if it didn't help, there'd be no charge. Great! or so we thought. After running about 15 feet down the drain, the plumber was unable to get the snake back out due to the turns in the pipe. A second plumber came out a few days later and confirmed that it was stuck and we should replace the pipe. After asking specifically if this was an issue with our pipe or with the snake being stuck, we were told the pipe was fine, but they'd only be able to get it out if we replaced the pipe. So essentially we went from having a pipe that drained to having a snake stuck in there and being charged $500 for new piping. The first plumber even mentioned that he thought there was a fair shot it'd get stuck after the fact! Why not pass along this info before presenting the customer with a $500 charge?! The fact that a company would ask us to pay to replace a pipe(i.e. give them business) due to the fact that their tool got stuck is absurd! I realize that it can be timely and inconvenient to take apart the pipes(although they are out in the open in the basement), however give the consumer fair warning in advance. I would have never risked cleaning out the drain had I known a potential outcome was the snake being left in there with no clog being discovered. I dont even mind paying a reasonable amount, however $500 to replace about 5 feet of pipe with pvc is absurd. Beware of this company if your pipe has any turns.

They've been servicing my HVAC system, that I bought from them, for years. Always professional, and I never worry about my system.

We had a terrible sewage clog that backed up into lower tub and toilet. Tried using stuff from Home Depot to unclog, but nothing worked. Heard about Mr. Plumber's $93 ""Clear Any Drain or it's Free"" deal. Andy, from Mr. Plumber, came on a Sunday afternoon and cleared our drain. He also pulled up the toilet and replaced the wax ring. All for $193. We had a similar problem 7 months ago and was charged much more by Superior Plumbing for the same repair.

Thank you Mr. Plumber, for offering a great service for a reasonable price, and for hiring knowledgable employees w/ great attitudes! You are our new ""go-to"" plumber!

expensive - beware - how do they mark their parts up SO much? Possibly to pay for their radio spots. Much cheaper to get a bid on one of the bidding sites. Will never use again.

Blake the technician came in at 4pm on the 4th of November to unclog the kitchen sink. He ran an electrical drain snake down the sink and later on told us that it was clear. What we did not know was that in the process of him clearing the clog with the snake, he popped out a corner joint in the plumbing system that was in the basement, and all the water that drained from the kitchen sink and dishwasher drained into the basement floor. On the 7th of November, I went to the basement and noticed that it was flooded. I called the company at 11.30 pm and they had wanted to send someone out that will get to me by 12.30 am and I told them that it was dark and it would be better assessed in the daylight. They then sent someone (Tommy) to come and assess the damage. Tommy arrived and said that the corner joint was not installed up to code and not glued and that was why it popped off when it was being snaked. He said he would call his manager and talk to him. 15 minutes later, he came in and said they would not accept responsibility for it.

I have lived in my home which was built in 2005, and it passed a plumbing inspection. I have had no leak or drainage out of the so called joint that was not installed up to code. The joint also would not have fallen out by itself if it had not been snaked with mechanical force. I spoke to the VP- Joe Hayes, and he admitted that the snaking caused the flooding and damage, but rather than accept responsibility, he said that it would have not happened if it had been installed right in the first place. When I pressed further and told him that I had never had any problem with the entire plumbing system of the house, he then asked me if I had any insurance and that I should get the insurance company to call him. When I reminded Joe Hayes of their plumbing guarantee ($93 to clear the drain or it is free), he said that he will give me back my $93, but accept no liability for the damage to my property due to their work.

So in essence, as a mother of two young children, I was left with the choice of leaving a gap in the plumbing system and no sink to use till I could get another plumber, or pay then an additional 206.46 to have the joint replaced. I was also left with the task of paying to clean up a 4 day flooded basement. I wish i could upload the images on Angie's list for you all to see.

Please please be careful of what you pay for. If it is cheap (like mr plumber), then you will get cheap service from mr plumber with no acceptance of liability for their work.

I have been using them for years and paid them thousands of dollars over that time. Recently one of their HVAC Techs accidently damaged one of the AC lines which caused a major leak in my attic. I had to pay over $700 in repairs to the ceiling and drywall. The tech called me to apologize and I called their office to ask for re-imbursement. They refused to pay us a single dime. I would fire them immediatly but I already paid for a 5 year maintenance contract.
It is quite clear that they do not value their customers and in the future I will be sure to hire another company.

We were scheduled for Friday evening appt after 5. At 8pm we get a call that they wanted to reschedule for Saturday between 12-4pm. At 3 pm we get a call that they won't be able to come until after 4. This is bad service. I would look elsewhere for a plumber like we did.

I only have two words to describe coolray 'rip off'. I picked coolray when I was looking for a company to replace my mom's system after it was stolen. They rep. they sent out was very nice and seemed professional so I selected coolray from all the other companies that I had gotten quotes. What a nightmare! It's been two years and constant problems. One of the techs they sent even said he didn't what was wrong with the unit, worked on it and never even came inside the house to see what the temperature actually was. The thermostat read 87 degrees in the house. I tried several times to speak to a manager and only got a voicemail. Seems like this manager Anne does not take problem calls. I absoulutely would NOT recommend coolray to anyone.
