Recommended Customer Reviews

Had duct repair and cleaning the other day. The team they sent Cody, Ivan and William were outstanding in their knowledge and expertise. They were very courteous to me and to each other. They were very neat and made sure they left the house neat. The company charges more than other companies but stand behind their work. They also background check their employees and send pictures before they arrive.

Whatever you do, DON'T buy a new AC unit from this company! Unless you enjoy having a brand new unit fail multiple times throughout the year! Currently it is 70 degrees outside and 77 degrees in my house. That's unacceptable for a new unit. I've lost count of the amount of times they've been out to get my ac running again. On more than one occasion, they've had to come multiple times in the same week! I could go on and on about how displeased I am with the very big purchase I made with this company just do yourself a favor and learn from my mistake!

I purchased a complete hvac system in may 2020 this was from cool today. I have had over and over failures starting with the day after install. They have replaced sensors, capacitors, dan motors, even the compressor. The quality of the product, the time required to get someone out the time to get parts and the communication from their people is very poor. To say the least I believe I made a poor choice. Unfortunately the system is just over 3 years old and still has about 6 1/2 years left of warranty so I am tied to them.

Jordan Ruzbachi serviced my not running AC. He was prompt, very knowledgeable and professional. I highly recommend him. I really love Cool Today and I have been using them for all many years. They also service my plumbing and electrical needs.

The installers sold me a contract for $20.+ on a monthly basis. I thought it was for monthly maintenance such as changing filters. I found out it is for a check up every six (6) months. The charge for each check up comes to over $120+. I can get them to come out once every 6 months for a $90 service fee.

I had been a customer of Cool Today for over eight years. Cool Today Installed an air conditioning system in my house just prior to my purchase of the house. My first introduction to Cool Today was when my home inspector advised that a new hot water tank that had been installed by the previous owner, just 10 months earlier, was plugged into an electrical outlet rather than being hardwired as required by the electrical code. Prior to closing I required the seller to have the hot water tank hardwired because the house was otherwise uninsurable.
I originally had a maintenance contract from Cool Today that was carried over from my sellers. On the first or second maintenance visit the Cool Today. Technician made a hole in my garage ceiling. This is where the air handler was installed by Cool Today. This hole was reasonably promptly repaired.
During my time with Cool Today, I had a problem with my pool heater, which is just a form of a heat pump. They sent a technician who could not find a leak and simply added several pounds of refrigerant. Three days later, the heater stopped working again and the Cool Today technician returned. He could not find a leak , and, instead, called in what was supposed to be Cool Today's most experienced heat pump technician. This technician could not find it the source of a leak, but opined that rats had urinated on the compressor, which was at the bottom of the unit and had caused the compressor to leak. He proposed a replacement by Cool Today of a heater at a cost of approximately $5000 or that I could replace the compressor at a cost of approximately $2000 plus labor. I then called a local factory authorized HVAC contractor, who found a leak in heat exchanger tubes in about 10 minutes, repaired the leak and recharged the system for a total cost to me of $125.
On another occasion the cool today maintenance tech advised that he had installed a new float switch in the air handler. On the next semi annual maintenance visit a different Cool Today tech told me the float switch had been Installed backwards, and I was fortunate that it had not needed to be activated. More recently, although I made my semi annual maintenance appointments well in advance of the desired dates, a year or two ago, on the day of or day before the appointment, Cool Today attempted to reschedule it for three months later. When I objected, the appointment was still rescheduled for six weeks later. Bear in mind, these are pre-paid contractual maintenance services.
The most recent scheduling fiasco occurred. I was given a four hour window in which I could expect the Cool Today maintenance technician to arrive - 8 AM to 12 PM. After waiting for a no-show for well over four hours, I received a telephone call from Cool Today advising that the technician would not be coming that day and rescheduled it for eight days later. During the course of this visit, I asked the tech to replace an old uv bulb in the air handler (at a cost of approximately $229 including a supposed 15% contractual discount). This technician managed to leave me with a hole in my garage ceiling (remember, this is the second time this occurred). When he requested that I pay for the UV bulb at that time, I replied that I would pay for the bulb when the ceiling is repaired to my satisfaction. Reportedly, he called someone at Cool Today who instructed him to remove the UV bulb if I would not pay for it on the spot, regardless of the hole he left in my ceiling. The new bulb was removed. Not surprisingly, Cool Today failed to contact me and I had to contact them to arrange for the repair. Their contractor called me and wanted to schedule the repair for two weeks in the future. I refused and ultimately agreed to one week. Cool Today has lost me as a long-term customer both because the new bulb was removed and because of their repeated shabby treatment and questionable lapses of expertise. I also learned that there are other very well regarded and reviewed A/C contractors that are charging significantly less for maintenance contracts.

Waited over 6 hours for service man to show up. Was supposed to be there between 12-6. I left the premises as,I was not going to wait any longer. Then he calls that he'll be 15 more minutes. When he shows he doesn't work to see if existing faucets fit. First thing he says is over $500 for each faucet (I had 3 to be done). Using my existing faucets. I refused that price so now I will be seeking a real plumber. And they expect me to pay $59 for waiting over 6 hours for nothing! NO DONT call... find a real company to do your plumbing. No wonder they have horrible reviews. Shame on me for calling them!

Cool Today put a new HVAC system into our villa in March. We were finally able to schedule the first follow-up service call (our schedule was tight, not theirs). The employees have all been professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. Very neat too. We have no complaints and are quite happy our neighbors recommended this company to us!

AC repair - paid big money an ordered a part. Got a temporary part installed while waiting. 4 months later and 3 phone calls no part , only excuses. Gonna have someone else complete my repair and then drop these guys and cancel my service contract.

The company was told to come prepared to clean the inside evaporator coils. Instead, he only cleaned out the drain line. Both air conditioner still drip water on the floor. The firm did not fix the problem. Yeah now they are still dining me for $600. I am still going to have to have another company come out and fix the problem they did not repair.
