I got them through Costco and I would never recommend them to anyone. I have had problems from day one. Now they claim my thermostat can't connect to the hub due to they would have to do electrical work but they charged me for the higher price one. Stated they would contact me on a price change and no one has called. I feel like calling the news station on them. This is ridiculous!!! My neighbors asked why they come to the house so much and I told them. They said they won't be using them.

Cool Air Mechanical does not communicate, have been left hanging for weeks in the cold. Congrats to the handful of people who have had a good experience, but unless you like Russian Roulette, go somewhere else.

Tech came out Dec 26th to diagnose a defective part on my HVAC system under warranty (emergency heat not working). Was told they would order that part and come back out to replace it.
By Fri, Jan 12th (12 business days elapsed), I had not heard anything. Called to get a status. Was told someone would call me back that day.
No return call.

Called back Tues, Jan 16th - re-explained situation and request for ETA (and to confirm if the part had even been ordered yet? Was there a mistake? If so, fine, just own up to it and set my expectations, because my house is cold!!!). Was told someone would call me back that day.
No return call.

Called back Weds, Jan 17th - re-explained situation again, and asked to be transferred to a supervisor or the parts department -- any way that I could get my simple question answered. Was told that was not possible, nor could they guarantee when anyone would call me back. I politely stated this is becoming unacceptable, and if I didn't hear anything by the end of the day, I would submit a complaint to Costco (this is who they were contracted through).
No call back.
Submitted complaint to Costco.
Found an alternative (?) customer care phone number from a company response to one of the bad Google reviews. Called that towards the end of the business day as well. Same response: Will have someone call me back.
No return call.
Sent an email outlining my experience and request for a simple call back by 10 am the next business to just let me know the status of the part.
No response.

I researched to find another HVAC company that could service my system and its warranty and had to schedule an appointment. Will be requesting refund from Cool Air (I'm sure we can see how that will end), and communicating this experience across platforms.
They do not care. Appears to be a churn and burn operation.

The new AC unit was installed by Pedro on 30 November 2022. Never tested. Technician Richard came to due a service check on 14 April. Discovered disconnect was installed upside down, and transformer had been wired incorrectly resulting in the compressor control board being ""fried"". On 18 April, Richard returns to install new control board. Cannot get the unit to work. On 19 April Richard and Jason return. No progress. They said unit could not have 3 wire transformer, must be 4 wire. Say a 4th wire must be run since thermostat is a 4 wire. On 27 April Jesse and Zack install additional wire. AC seems to work. On 8 May AC turned on, but does not work in master bedroom. On 9 May Lamar comes to check problem. Discovers thermostat in master bedroom is faulty. He replaces it. AC to all zones (3) now work.

It is now 17 January 2024. Now we have a furnace issue. Upstairs thermostat says replace air filter, which I did 3 weeks ago. Internal temperature downstairs is 64 degrees. Both downstairs thermostats set to 68 degrees, heat will not come on. You would think for an $18,000 + system I wouldn't have to put up with so much aggravation.

This company installed a hvac unit in my home without a return air plenum!!I have reached out but am being ignored, I do not reccomend to anyone ever doing business with them.

I would NOT recommend cool air mechanical. We got one new unit when we moved into our house. The downstairs unit was working fine. The technician told us what to buy so we moved forward with his recommendation. After getting the brand new unit put in the unit never cooled the upstairs, correctly. We called them after out first guest stayed upstairs. We have had Sidney White, Troy Posey, Ricardo Smith, Bryce Brandenburg, William Boswell, just to mention a few, look at it. They have all said something different is wrong. We were very patient while they each fixed the supposed problem. We are now going on 1.5 years and its still 80 degrees upstairs. They have not offered to really fix the problem or do anything. We give up. Save yourself a lot of money and go with someone else from the start. Very disappointed and this wasn't our first air conditioner we have had with them. We didn't have a problem the first time. I think the company has been sold do NOT use cool air mechanical!

They recommended and installed a new AC system that has broken 6 times within 2 months of installation. We spent a fortune on the system and it clearly does not work. They are not fixing it. Not acceptable anytime, but especially in the middle of Georgia summer when it puts our young family at risk. Stay away - I would not recommend this company to anyone.

I don't understand how I could spend this much money on a new air conditioning unit and it breaks down twice within the first two weeks. Why am I having to reset it?

I don't trust these folks at all anymore- very quick to recommend a whole new unit, but the unit they install apparently doesn't work.

So I rarely post as you can see, but cool air deserves credit for the awesome service they keep giving me over the last couple years.

Nicco from cool air fixed my ac and saved me a lot of stress and time. He is professional and honest. Rare to find a good tech and good company these days. Thank Nicco and thank you cool air!
Also Jason and Cedric are both professional and straight up honest. Wish other businesses followed in their model!

It's summertime so naturally our air conditioner isn't working. Quick Recap: Cool Air Mechanical installed two HVAC units, one upstairs and one downstairs. Our air conditioner has stopped working EVERY Summer. Get your HVAC system from anyone but Cool Air Mechanical. We have had a breakdown every year since the installation of this pile of crap. If you want your bedroom to consistently be 89 degrees, Cool Air Mechanical is for you.

3.5 years ago, we purchased an air conditoner from Cool Air. We have had no problems at all and did all of our Maintenance checks. This past spring, we noticed it was warm in our house. We called Cool Air to come out and they indicated we had a leak of refrigerent (used to be called Freon). There is a warranty and The repair itself was covered but the refrigerent WAS NOT covered. This cost 1300.00. A shock indeed. We complained to customer service and they did nothing. They call this labor and labor is not covered under warranty. How is this labor? We are not happy at all that this was not found sooner with all of the preventative Maintenance we had. Please consider all that I mentioned before purchasing an air conditoner from Cool Air.
